600w is probably more than you need but you should get good yields with that many lumens and since its an HPS the plants should stretch good so I would top at least once if not more.

So these are a few pics of my DWC attempt had a bit of a PROBLEM WITH THE ROOTS DRYING OUT SO I ADDED DRIPERS TO THE NET POTS
the first pic is of the plant that had a bit of a problem when veggin the botoom of the stems started rotting

This pic is of all 3 im really tempted to do a scrog on these they should be flowering now but im just leaving the roots develop more .
Heres a pic of the roots there has been a huge growth burst as soon as i added the dripper to the pots the roots loved it
All 3 ladies are durban poison from dutch passion.
Ahh nice to see some hydro on here, thought I was the only one. honestly I think it is way easier than soil imo

No doubt you have.. But I don't think the grow in question will..
Are you sure youre doing scrog if your getting that type of stretch..?

I had a few little problems but hydro seems to b the way forward imho 2 the growth is so much more faster . Im still goin to do a few soil aswel but mostly hydro

oh wait I have a question i flipped them 3 ladies a few days ago do u think it is a bad idea to top 1 of the now to do a better scrog or will i just let her grow?

you bet, hope you have a good grow that is all dank. a lot of people use an MH bulb for veg and an HPS for flower but you can use either for an entire grow. my next run im only going to use a 400w MH bulb I want the plants to be squat and compact since I grow in a cab and 3.5 feet is about my limit on height, it was less than that until I just recently removed the top shelf that was for cloning but i will just make cuts of cuts of cuts. My buddy does it and has great turn outs, he has no mother just takes cuts off of what is growing in his cab and converted a mini refrigerator to a clone cab, he removed the back of it modified it by putting in two computer fans and a florescent light and it works like a champ. He even puts some cuts in zip locks, labels them, puts as much air as he can in the zip lock and then puts them into a brown paper bag then puts them in the fridge and the cuts go into hibernation so he can use them later when he has room. right now he is doing an entire run of TGA's chernobyl 8 in all.

No scrog, I would love to do it and will eventually but I have only done sea of green so far. I bet your plants stretch nice, but I guess time will tell, good luck man!

you can for sure top um if you just flipped to 12/12! It takes a couple of weeks until sex starts to show during the bloom stage but you probably already know that.

What are peoples thoughts around getting supplies delivered vs calling to Grow shops?
I grow in Coco which means that when I stock up theres quite a lot of big items I have to get this requires parking outside the grow shop to load up multiple 50L bags of Coco + pelite and nutes. I don't like doing it because I worry that if the powers that be are on the off chance parked outside with their coffee and doughnuts taking car reg numbers this could be a pretty big security risk. All it takes is to be there on the wrong day at the wrong time.
More recently I have been buying my nutes and grow medium from an online supplier in Dublin (I'm in Munster) I've had a few orders and no problems the orders are big enough to have to come on pallets but are alway wrapped in black plastic so from that point I'm happy. Where my issue here comes is that I have to contact them to make these orders, I have to give an address for delivery etc. (Payment has always been cash deposit so I'm okay that way)with the recent operation nitro I'm worried that email correspondence may be found if the fuzz were to for any reason seize and look into this businesses affairs.
I'd love to here from suppliers as to what their policy with regards the deletion of emails and such is. Do they know how to correctly and permanently delete emails with addresses? I don't want to ask my supplier directly because A. I'm para about calls being monitored and its almost an admission of guilt and B. while I'm 100% positive they know what i'm using the supplies for i don't want to ask them directly anything which might make it seem like they are doing or helping to do something illegal.
Any thoughts?

if your that para man get a o2 money card in a fake name,set up a fake email and then order from the b.i.g shop[belfast indoor gardening].they dont store any details and deliver by courier.
if ya dont want them delievered too your house they will drop them too your local bus depot or train station.

Well you can never be too para I'm not worried about payment as I just lodge directly in their bank account in cash. Its the email and delivery that worries me after the whole nitro thing.

is it possible that rippers would sit outside a grow shop watching people load up vans , or that guards would do the same thing through laziness & cost cutting
in person = borrow friends car or go early, maybe try source items through else where if your going through pallets worth, ie soil- make your own from b&q etc, perlite= building supplies
online= hushmail, in the past when i had pallets delivered i organized for the courier to goto my pub to pick it up their, told them my access road wasnt van friendly, depends where you live of course.
as for shops storing info = look at the data protection act, its some scary expensive shit, data retention is unlikely but would not be surprised at what goes on in some places.
btw i was told recently that 02 money cards need id or proof of address now, is that true?

The carbon filter should do fine on its own . I havent used any carbon filter for my last few grows but in sayin that my house does smell like wonkaland for weed haha
