The King of Strains

Hello everyone!

This journal will cover me growing over 40 different strains the next 6 to 9 months.
I have been growing in our new house for going on 8 months now and I started out growing in soil, one hydroponic system and a 12 site aeroponic system. The hydro just finished up and I will be retiring it for now. The aeroponic system have a little over a month to go then it too will be retired and I will switch over completely to soil.

Basic information:

Grow Space: 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Second bedroom is yet to be setup and vegging is taking place in a big closet for now.

Veg Room: (3)100w CFL 6500k, (3) Fluro tubes and (1)150w CFL 2700k. Circulating fan

Flower Room: (1)250w HPS, (1)400w HPS and (1)600w HPS. 2 UV filtering rotating fans, regular rotating fan, 45pint Dehumidifier, 6500BTU A/C unit. Temp/Humidity is 75/35 With lights ON and 65/45 with lights OFF.

Soil: Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Light Warrior

Nutes: Fox Farm's Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Beastie Buds, Cha Ching, Gravity Flower Hardener, Botanicare's Sweet, Cal Mag+, Liquid Karma, Pro Bloom, Pro Grow, CN17 ripe, General Hydroponics Flora series. For pests I use Neem Oil.

In flowering right now are: Headband(4), O.G #18(2), Sour Kush, Sour Cream, Chronic, RockLock, Chemdawg, Wappa, Warlock. In the aero system is Hindu Kush Auto(5), Easy Ryder#2(5) and Diesel Ryder(2). The Autos are going on end of week 2 flowering.

I am going to have to stop here for right now. My back is killing me and the dogs need food. I will get back on a little later tonight and finish this up and post some pictures to start off.

And just for the record everybody the "King of strains" is not meant to sound cocky nor that I think I am the king of anything actually. It's an inside joke between me and the wife because every time we take pictures of us in the garden I wear a burger king mask and I stand in a sea of strains. Hence the king of strains.. anyways Hopefully ill be back soon posting some pics.

If anyone have any suggestion as to any strains I should add please let me know. The conditions I am trying to treat are Chronic lower back pain and Anxiety.

Oh and I guess I should update that the hydroponic system holding the bubblelicious, one OG18 and one Headband was harvested week or so ago and was trimmed today and put in jars. The Headband and OG18 I have tons of clones off and secured genetics but the bubblelicious is no longer. I have about a oz of it to smoke but I didn't take any clones of it. A shame as it is probably the best smelling plant I have ever had. A Headband soil was hung up to dry and also the ChemDawg was hung up to dry today.

A couple of the newer plants going into flowering showed signs of over fertilizing so I spent many hours flushing plants today.

I remember reading somewhere that oxygenating the water you feed your plants is a good idea so I dropped an airstone into my water reservoir.. Is that a good idea?

I added another light as my change over to just soil growing is slowly coming along. So for now I added a 400w MH light system to the vegetative room and a hydrotek 600w HPS with a huge glassed in reflector for it in the flower room. The aeroponic plants look about done but these auto flower plants have so little buds on them I don't know if I want to cut them down. The nugs are still growing noticeably. But the system should come down in the next week or 2.
When that happens I will strip the whole flower room and clean it up very well. Put down new plastic on the floor and change filters on all the fans/AC/humidifier/dehumidifer. Then I will space out my (2)600w HPS lights, (1)400w HPS and (1)250w HPS to cover the hole room evenly.
After that I will just fill it up with plants. I have 12 clones that are big girls by now and I have 14 more that sprouted from seed 2-3 weeks ago and I am planting another 24 today. So I should be able to do add in 12-20 plants every 4 weeks.

I will take pictures or record video footage of the rooms and post. Does anyone know how I can reduce the size of a video file and get it up on here???

Long time no update lol
I figured I do a written update before I leave for Amsterdam. I'm flying out tmrw to meet up and catch the last few days of the cannabis cup!

Lots of things going on in R&D (that's me)

I just cut down Wappa, Chronic, Sour Kush, OG Kush #18 and one of my own crosses OG Purple Kush (OG #18 x Purple Kush Clone) and they are drying.

In flower right now are a bunch of Headband clones (My favorite daytime smoke), A couple Wappa clones, A bunch of OG #18, A few OG Purple Kush, A couple of UK Cheese, Two massive RockLocks, Tahoe OG, Alien OG, L.A Confidential and Bubblegum.

In vegetative are: Bubblegum, Blueberry Gum, Chocolope, Cataract Kush, Pineapple Express, Kandy Kush, Lemon Skunk, Tahoe OG, Alien Wappa (Alien OG x Wappa), L.A Con, Sour OG.

I have setup a separate area for my male plants down in the garage on their own light.
I have Tahoe OG, Alien OG and Pre-98 Bubba BX males going.

The crosses that ill be doing are: Tahoe OG x L.A Confidential / Alien OG x Wappa (already done) / Pre-98 Bubba x Purple Kush. / Purple Kush x OG #18 (already done).

I had a Chem D plant going a few months back and I just finished smoking the last. Apparently a friend of mine came by and dropped me off a single seed that he got out of a qp of the Chem D. One single seed. I am guessing it selfed but I did have a rogue hermie in there during the same time that managed to pollinate the plant right next to it. I doubt that what happened to this since there was only 1 seed (perfectly big healthy mature seed) but we will see what comes from it. The accidental cross that happened was Hindu Kush (the rogue hermie) that pollinated my Soma's NYC diesel so I have some fire NYC D hash and I got the seeds sprouting right now. I think that will be an interesting cross. So the Chem D will either be selfed (Pretty damn sure of this) or possibly MAYBE a Hindu X Chem D? doubt it tho since they were on opposite sides of the flower room.

I will take many many pictures when I come back from Amsterdam. Last time I went I spent 3 days and $4500 Euro's sampling every damn strain in over 25 coffee shops and ended up just bringing ONE strain with me back to the U.S. L.A confidential from the Grey Area was the only one that I deemed worthy of making the trip back here lol This time I am hoping I will find a lot more!!
