from what i have heard you do not hang the LED so close to the plant they need to be a few feet above the plants so that the reds and blues mix with each other properly.

the air in the grow room should be exchanged a minimum of 30 times every hour to keep the rooms enviroment perfect for growing.

LED's suck balls at growing cannabis iv yet to see one that looks anything other than a joke.

Yeah your right Its creepy how there is no real evidence of ass kickin buds.... just claims to represent. I also am a skeptic trying to prove It has it's worth. What if you combine it with HPS. I bet that would do something gnarly? maybe switch out lights for a wk in and out of flowering cycle. Or I could find a way to angle the biatch in there?:mrgreen:

good reply. Think of the grams per kilowatt/hr used. L.E.D. Wins that battle. Even if it yields 15% less then regular 400W MH/HPS bulbs.;-)

here is the best LED iv seen grown and he is using 2 x ufo and a shit load of other LED lights thats well over 250w iv seen HPS 250w grow 3x what this set up could manage

I'd hold off on that quick assessment if I were you! There is talk around the 'Cannabis world', that now lay claim that HPS aren't fully developing the plant to it's full capacity! I mean if HPS was really the answer, wouldn't NASA be rigging up some kind of a HPS system instead of a LED light system for plant growth in their space stations?
Plus I found a website were you can get a LED UFO for only $200.00! At that price, isn't worth the second look at? Here is the link the get a UFO LED light at $200.00, and no I don't own one! Why? I've got the best light system in the world in place....'Mother Nature'. Better yet, 'Mother Nature', on the side of Kilauea Volcano!
Yet, I'm seriously thinking about ordering one of these lights too. Sometime when we get "Kona Winds"(southernly winds) blowing we get a lot of "Vog"(volcano smog). In one fell swoop, this nasty volcanic air can wipe out an entire crop in one day if the Sulfur Levels are up! So at $200.00 what can it hurt? The best part of these UFO LED Light system? NO THERMAL footprint!!!!

I was very skeptical at first did alot of research and decided that the only way i could make money this summer was to go led or outdoors, so I splurged and bought 8 ufo lights well the knock offs on ebay same shit just alot cheaper i always grow in grow tents 76x76x76 one for flower one for veg and i must say im sold i will probably only run a hps in winter if i need speeder flowering time but the density of the tights buds from the led is so woth the extra week or so to flower. I'm totally converted to led and a strong believer now. for less heat in the tent and oh yah i have harvested 2 40 or so plant harvest with great success and my led lights are as blinding when i bought them but i would do your homework and dont just waste money on something you have no clue about to each there own this is my opinion only

The manufacturer of the ufo grow is in Shenzhen China. I met them at a trade show in Guanzhou China. I was AMAZED at the visit. i bought one, and its 50 times better than any technology out there. Google high end european growers that do flowers, exotic plants, etc. Those multi million dollar greenhouse growers threw away their old lamps including HID, mercury, etc. The LED technology in the UFO style is 20X more powerful and effective, consumes 80% less power, and I also had the pleasure of talking to a Dutch professor specializing in horticulture. he is on the board at the manufacturers location.

Granted, there are cheap LED panels out there. But, even the cheap panels do help tremendously. With LED technology, you minimize the risk of fire associated with high temp old lamp technology. Additionally, the heat footprint is undetectable by nosey ass investigators who drink and drive and kill people and yet they arrest someone for smoking a joint.

I urge all of you to stay off bullshit youtube heresay videos, stay off dumbass websites with posts from morons who watch a 2 minute video and are now expert in their field cause they can use google (LMAO). DO YOUR HOMEWORK, DO YOURSELF JUSTICE, STOP LISTENING TO PEOPLE and experiment on your own.

The world is so full of shit today it is amazing. Its just money, buy a damn cheap ass panel, buy an expensive ufo type lamp, buy other technology, try em all. Dump what doesnt work on ebay. Damn, are you so lazy and pathetic cheap that you cant work a few days and ACTUALLY become an expert?

Go with Growl LED, I love them, check out their face book they have real pictures of very successful grows from start to finish. I have personally had 5 successful harvests with JUST Growl LED and I would never go back to growing w/ HID lights. Let the haters hate, its just like computers in the 70's, some companies are doing it right, some are crap, and some are leading the revolution like Growl. LEDs are amazing and do wonders if you use a good company www.ledgrowlight.com

I like the computer analogy. Just a bit skeptical when it comes to yields. I don't want to put the work in for a small yield just because I chose the wrong experimental-but-could-be-freaking-awesome light. The power, temp, and air are all of great concern to my shed grow and I think LEDs would be the way but if I have to sacrifice it's not worth it.

Any specs on actual scientific yield studies for LEDs as opposed to someone's opinion saying the opposition "sucks"? I was at Kush Expo in Anaheim earlier this month and the rep from the LED booth could not show me any evidence that they work for flowering. She kept saying "we're almost there, we're close" like they were growing it as we speak and we're just waiting for the harvest.

I can see them working for veg, but not for flowering, and this is my quandary.
