my c99 hybrids @ day 18 (on right) and day 15. Took two mains off the (left) because they were low and not going to amount to much leaving 28. Other one has 30

Hi all been lurking and learning from everyone here. Just finished a mainline grow with some Og Kush. Mainline turned out great. The weed was subpar for me. I might have cut it early. Anyways a new mainline is currently under way. This go around I have Barney's Farm pineapple chunk and white widow x big bud by female seeds. Running them in 5 gal hempy buckets with pre nuted potting soil. I mixed 32quarts soil with 8 quart perlite, I also added eight cups of dolomite lime and top dressed each bucket with an additional half cup. Lower part of bucket is perlite.

Second photo is WW x BB, third is PC.
Will post pics if last mainline as soon as I get to a computer. Posting this from phone.
Please comment. All advice is welcomed and appreciated. Love this technique.

Whats up guys? I read this whole thread a few weeks back and I'm really impressed with this technique. After micro growing for a couple of years in a speaker box and PC cases, I felt like upgrading a little bit so I got a new cabinet, still small but alot bigger than the old boxes, from a micro grow to a mini grow. It is roughly 22"w x 15"d x 32"h. Lights will be 6 Cree LED bulbs and 6 30w CFLs. I'm gonna go with one plant in a 5 or 7 gal smart pot. Usually I scrog my plants but I feel like alot of energy is wasted on smaller buds so I'm gonna try mainlining in my next run. My question is should I go with 8 heads or 16? I'm not sure which will be better because obviously my space is limited, so 8 heads might be too tall for my cabinet, and 16 heads might be too crowded with my limited square footage and lights that lack the HPS penetration.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks and happy toking! :leaf:

ok my reason for posting. Take a look at the PC, the leave are growing wrinkley. My humidity has been super low running at 20 to 30%. i began running a humidifier to increase humidity to 30 to 40%. Hoping it grows out of this as it gets bigger. Thinking it could be a cal-mg deficiency so next watering i will use 1tbspcal-mag to a gallon of water. Last time i watered was last saturday and the buckets are still moist. I now see why you should start in smaller pots then transplant up. I always did that in my past couple of grows and never thought much about the neccessity of it until now; wastes alot of water and if i were using nutes they would be wasted also.
Also can tell i have the sativa pheno of the PC. not too upset about that even though i purchased it for the short flowering time. The pics i've seen of the sativa dom are spectacular when grown out, and the smoke reports are solid. so i will grow this out to see what i can get from it. I have the time hopefully i have the space.

Any comments. Thank you

Hi avrum, from what i have seen 8 heads is most recommended for indoor grows. if you were growing with a 600 or 1000 then going 16 might be ok. i would say do 8 and you should be ok.

I am almost two months into this mainlined training session.

These have been in 3.5 gallon Hempy's since early January, transplanted from Hempy cups that were started early December.

1 - Ice @ 8 shoots
1 - Ice @ 6, broke one shoot and the second was totally out growing the rest so I cut it back.
1 - White Widow @ 14 miscut early in training.

All are doing well, now just trimming undergrowth and ready to put the ring on and should be going to 12/12 in just a couple of week if not less.

1 them seems to.be stretching more then the other iv had to supercrop a branch twice and it's still the tallest branch

Hey guys just putting it out there, but I could swear mainlining works much better if you use the very first node, then the very first node off that,if that makes sense?Ive run side by side comparisons and the difference has to be seen to be believed

I didn't quite get the mainline thing going on but do these qualify, theres just no symmetry to the structure of the stems.....GUILTY AS CHARGED!
