The Moon Turns A Fire Red Tonight

This is the first lunar eclipse on the winter solstice in almost 400 years!!
It will last a particularly long time as well, 72 minutes of totality.
 
there was a heck of a meteor shower the other night. if you can get away from the city lights the sky is a lot brighter.
 
hell yeah ive been pretty excited about this, ill be watchin. its a nice clear night out here in the stix too, good night for it.
 
sucks here in LA we are having the worst storm in 11 years...I love events like this. its raining right now...
