the morality of being stoned 24/7

So I'm pretty much stoned 24/7, like most stoners.. It kinda effects me in the real world, it effects my thinking because obviously our perceptions are changed when high. I know for a fact mine are, negatively too.. In some senses.. Positively too. Only with production anyways, I am a thousand times more concentrated when I'm stoned. I think the main thing there though is because talking to people is the last thing Id want to do unless its my friend or something. Random strangers intimidate me when I am high.

But the thing is, is any of this really bad? I think it was definitely the main reason why I didn't actually go somewhere, was because of drugs. Mainly weed just because I've practically been stoned since like 97' lol

The thing that would sicken a none smoker though is that I am completely content with it. My life where its at.. really I'm kinda scum I guess.. But I don't really care. Is it good or bad I feel this way? That anyone feels this way

People always told me my whole life weed was messing me up, now I believe it was. Its too late now, but I don't give two shits. My parents went through so much stuff trying to teach me lessons about that specifically, I just didn't understand. I now actually think Id be less happy, had I actually went somewhere.

How am I gonna explain this when I have kids? lol

Well there is a few ways you could look at this. Either your a scumbag that learned the lessons the hard way and gave up or simply a guy that found true contentment and happiness. The complaint from parents with kids that smoke pot is that they will end up being bums or losers. But isn't the true goal in life to be happy? So I guess you've actually made the right choices for you.

Jesus I hope you got all that. I'm pretty high and it makes sense to ME. but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. ;)

Don't think the weed is effecting me wrong sorry bout your outlook of your life man, you need to reverse that shit after all mj is the positive mood drug think positive brother. A wise man once told me positivity breeds productivity. Its in your head man, wanna be happy think happy thoughts

I kind of wonder the same thing myself sometimes.. Most days I wake up, smoke, go to school, come home for lunch and smoke, go back to school, come back home smoke, do homework, work out, smoke, bed, repepat. I'm pretty young, and I wonder sometimes if years down the road I'll regret the lifestyle I'm living right now. I really hope I don't, but if I do at least I'll learn from it. For now I'll just keep on smokin' lol . Personally, as long as you work hard, are a nice person and have good intentions, smoking isn't a bad thing. I kind of think about what I just typed now, and I don't think it really answers any of your questions, but I'm not deleting it all now lol :hump:

Love the ending man lol. You still got a lot of life to look foreward too and from the sounds of it you got a good head on your shoulders which is the most important part you know you don't wanna be one way use your head and don't let yourself get down that path pretty simple I think

What's important is that you're in control. Not the drugs. And if you can be a functioning stoner that earns a decent living then you have no reason to put yourself down.

i completely agree. if there is one thing i have learned in this life it is so be happy as much as possible and always positive. A life without happiness is a wasted life so i believe everyone must do what they want to make themselves happy. Everyone has a different destiny in life so live your life how you want to and don't let anyone else tell you how it should be.

I think everyone need to step away from their weed and quickly box it up.
Once you've done this send me a PM and I'll send you an address you can send it to don't worry I'll take care of all of you...

I am also a key example of said lifestyle but i am a med user. Doing the normal things that take up my life never get compromised by my smoking. That is the key and is often ignored by a lot of younger smokers like myself (age-wise) and it can really add to the stigma of potheads. Like DannyBoy said functionality is key. If other people you interact are drawn to even the least bit of suspicion that your in a state that might not be favorable in their eyes then your doing it wrong and need to reevaluate your real world game plan. Find the path of least resistance and make sure its very low key/under the radar.

I have been a 24/7 smoker for +20 years, I am a database architect that makes a living writing mathematical formulas and coding all day. there is no way I would have the concentration to do my job before I started smoking. And now I have a great job working from home with the company 15yrs. It is all about being functional and discrete. If it affects your life negatively one must reevaluate, it just never has mine (so far). If anything it cut my drinking down to socially only and saved my ass from going to far down that road, which really fucks peoples lives up.

The morality of being stoned? Theres no morality to it if your floating your own boat.

Does your life feel like its being wasted to you? Means you need to explore the world sober, see what its about and maybe then go back to smoking your herbs once you know whats out there. This is the path I chose to take. I also picked to study some hard engineering. Like commiting "stoner suicide". Too many places to be, too many formulas to remember and too many ideas to concider.

There isn`t much going on in the sober world by the way, call it the SAME OLD SHIT. Rhymes with SOS... lol

I do belive that most can`t manage stoning 24/7 even though they think they can. Organisational breaks need to be taken. Not on a "have to do" basis, but "want to do" basis.

I love stoners and I dislike drunks. Troublemaking wankers wrecking the place and forgetting about it every weekend... :)

And people just need to chill out a bit, what a serious world we live in :) Your all morally fantastic for me!

Just to note, I quit stoning because I couldn`t really control myself. I still smoke, but its getting rarer and rarer and I just buy n toke a night away with friends when I do.

I notice it has an effect on my performance, sure. I have to really motivate myself to go do what I need to do, but that's because I am lazy. I'm a house husband tho, so I have a pretty big window in which to get my few jobs done.

No...
None of it is bad

You're not being messed up. You are recieving a message from a plant, that you have been evolving to receive since the beginning of recorded history :) And it has been evolving to send you this message...

It's only bad if you use it wrong, or smoke, and don't hear the message at all.

As long as you work with Shiva it is ok to be high ALL the time.

Like drunk people who claim to be better drivers drunk. Except this is FOR REAL :)

And you will allow your kids to make their own decisions, and tell them what you feel like when they get old enough to either confront you about it, or are SOO curious about it that you feel it is ok to tell them.

if you didnt go anywhere or didnt achieve any goals its because of you not weed. shit i could blame me not ever goin for the highschool football team on weed, but the truth is that me smokin or not i never wanted to practice because i thought i was above havin to pratice so instead of playin football i got high alot more. you control what you do not a plant. shit since ive been smokin for soo long its like my body has adapted to bein high. im far from slow when im high reflex wise, i dont forget shit, it makes puts me in a mood to do things if they need to be done. im like a new species! haha jk

seriously tho man life isnt about what others think of you. fuck them if you're happy doin what you're doin who is another to say its wrong? just because it doesnt fit their idea of happy? tell them to go head butt a knife. :)

I'm stoned all the time, pot makes me realize it. I'm 59, retired at 53, own my own home, car and motorcycle, and happily divorced! I retired from journalism, but in my private life I'll never put a camera down. I always did things my way and have no regrets.
