The Obama plan vs. the Ryan plan

I would vote for Hillary in 2016
While Hillary has proven she is very competent and could be a successful president, be careful what you ask for. Like her husband she advocates the type of free trade that is outsourcing American middle class jobs to east Asia. That is very important and we need someone who will fix that problem, not make it worse.

That being said, we could do a lot worse than Hillary Clinton. I'd vote for her depending on what the other choices are.

Amazing insight...

Tell us, what would you propose?
I think you know what I would do.
One thing I would NOT do is to lie to the American people and tell them we are cutting spending when spending is actually going to increase.

1. So, paying taxes is a measure of one's patriotism? Some of you want to tax the "wealthy" to the hilt? The Statists in both parties consider anyone making 200,000 per year wealthy right? Here's the question: In your opinions, at what tax rate would the "wealthy" morph from greedy, money hoarding ogres, and become those "patriots" you Progressives speak of?

2. The top earners ... those over $250 000, when considering all taxes, are already paying over 50% of their income to the various levels of government.

3. If a person really busts his/her ass to attain a good income, what kind of a warped mentality does it take for another person to suffer from such envy that he/she thinks they deserve a portion of that income?

4. With the FAIR tax, there is a leveling of the playing field. The "rich" will pay more than the "poor" because the "rich" will purchase more expensive items. One feature of the FAIR tax is that there is no tax on used items.

5. Is a dollar more productive in the hands of the private sector, or in the hands of the government?

6. Taxation is theft at the hands of government force. Is submitting to government force patriotic?

7. The tax on income destroys the right to property. As a human being, I have the God given right to enjoy my property. A tax on my labor is a lien on my labor. The percentage that that lien represents is the percentage of my person that the government owns. I am not a slave. I own myself, myself being my personal property. So, all of you Progressives who want to tax my labor even further can go pound sand.

8. A simple sales (excise) tax is the tax of free men. A tax on one's labor is the tax of slaves.

Don't be fooled ..Tea party is still Republicans
Actually, the Tea Party OWNS the Republicans ;)

Her answers during the Democratic primary debates regarding trade were actually more spot on than Obama's. Hillary insisted she would renegotiate NAFTA, barring that, she would end it. Obama adjusted his position to match her later on, as it was a popular topic among constituents. I fear the real outsourcing is done to lower tax liabilities. We need to consider penalties for US based corporations that shift a certain percentage of jobs overseas, unless they can demonstrate the skill don't exist at home.

Yeah, I was going through kind of quickly just to get an idea of the numbers. He really made 513 promises or was it more and the ones he kept stopped at 513?
I gave the benefit of the doubt on these totals without looking too closely at the actual promise kept and they are as follows: 134 promises kept, 370 not kept. According to Uncle Buck, 50% is failing so this must be REALLY bad, huh?
There was one interesting promise kept that I DID notice however that throws the whole thing in question:
#502- Get his daughters a puppy.
Well, I sure will sleep better tonight knowing he kept that one. What does that come under, National Security or Foreign Aid?
COME ON!!! You got to do better than that!!!
Weak, very weak.

You ignorant uninformed POS. I served 4 years in the USAF. My three siblings and myself grew up dirt poor, our parents had too much self respect to take handouts from the government or anyone else. We learned the value of hard work and three of us put our selves through collage, I myself did not graduate until I was 40. But all four of us worked our way to a decent living. We take pride in our accomplishments, something a whole generation in this country has been denied. And it is people like you that keep the poor down by giving them just enough to survive with no reason to improve their standing in life. They then pass that on to their children, and 99% of them end up just like their parents. The good news for you is they will always vote to take more money from someone else, meaning more liberal voters, leading to more poor. It's a vicious cycle, but it is obviously something you and your liberal buddies on this forum and in this country clearly prefer.

And ya, just because you served does not entitle you to lifetime of privilege, unless you were disabled. Millions upon millions of Americans have served without expecting to be carried the rest of their lives. What make you think your so special? You don't contribute, you shouldn't be allowed to vote, PERIOD. And yes that include the elderly, the retarded, the homeless, the illegal aliens and anybody else that isn't shouldering their share of the load.

Oh, and I am an active member of the TEA Party.

Comes with being a good father and keeping your promise to your child...hmmmmm guess you don't do that or think that keeping your promise to your children means anything...so sad

Numbers don't lie.

The variables that need more attention are 1. World Population 2. US population 3. Cost of Defense/person 4. Cost of SS/per person 5. Cost of X/person ect ect ect. No-one will be able to solve the problems over night. The easiest way to save ourselves over the next term(20-30 years) cut Defense spending to what the World's average is.

US 687,105,000,000/308,745,538(2010 est)= $2225 per person per year
China 114,300,000,000/1,338,612,968= $85 per person per year
3 France 61,285,000,000/65,312,249=$938 per person per year
4 United Kingdom 57,424,000,000 / 62,698,362= $915
5 Russia 52,586,000,000 /138,739,892=$379
6 Japan 51,420,000,000 /126,475,664=$406
7 Germany 46,848,000,000 /81,471,834=$575
8 Saudi Arabia 42,917,000,000 /26,131,703=$1642
9 Italy 38,198,000,000 /61,016,804=$626

Not to mention the collateral damage (Deaths, vets long term Health-care, ect)

So if we spend what China contributes 308,745,538 x $85 = 26,362,821,694.55
687,105,000,000-26,362,821,694= 660,742,178,305 per year

Well that will never happen!!

So maybe Avg Countries 3-9 so 561846508 million people $5481/7= $783 per person per year

$783 X
308,745,538= $241,747,756,254 Max Defense Budget over the next 10 years will save $4,453,572,437,460 Didn't touch any other sector!

Current deficit
