@SDTech nice seup i like how you kept it ghetto with the speaker and subwoofer as a stand lol..but how do you keep unwanted light out during "lights off" ?

@Concord thanks bro i pickd up some grandmas brand molasses the other day i didnt know i could use it during veg tho (you learn something new everday on here lol) i guess ill mix some molasses and 50 % veg/50%bloom nutes next watering ...so when do you plan on flowering your plants ? im starting flowering sunday and i can't wait lol

aw man that was a temp setup, i used it for a few weeks during veg. it held up well until my tent came in, now i am at this very second about to cut my pride and joy down because its a male.

im so upset, waiting til my neighbor gets home so he can do it, i dont have the heart to cut him! i have 2 others that have started showing preflowers and so far look like females... but yeah anyways, now their in a tent. 400 watt hps

i got a question for ya bro....after about 2-3 days my water that has molasses in it gets this funky ass rotten smell to it...since ive only got a couple smaller plants going..its dont take much to water them...so a gallon can last me forever.how do you keep your molasses from going bad?...i know i cant keep it in the fridge...and i dont want to have to keep pouring out whole bottles and losing all the nutes im adding to it...should i make smaller containers of it when i use it...should i keep the top on or off the jug...i stopped using it for a while because a couple times i watered my plants without smelling it and had a rotten smell in my grow box for about 2 weeks
I would make smaller containers. Get some half gallon jugs or 2 liters (quarts, if thats all you need) for mixing/watering instead. I only try to mix enough of my nutes, etc for what I need that day, then dump out any excess. I have kept the excess once or twice, with an airstone running slowly in the gallon jug, but it was messy/nasty. Now I just mix what I think I need, use my air stone to aerate it before watering, and dump out any left overs. I am starting a perpetual garden so I end up watering 1 or 2 of my 12 plants, almost every (or every other) day.

thanks man...i was figuring that would be the best way...least till they start getting bigger and get watered daily...for now im only watering every 3-5 days...so ill just dumb down my mix and put it in smaller containers

im starting my ghetto grow soon i have a question though im going to connect a power strip inside the bainet on top and use those little thing u put cfls on and just connect to ligh and y splitters since there upside down do you think they will fall down? is it a fire hazard?

also is it true that most light comes from the side of the cfls not the tip if so how should i change my set up because i was planing to put the strip on top with the adapters and y spliters

No fire hazard by zipping them. they are fine after that to hang however you choose. it keeps them anchored to the power strip quite nice.

I used this trick on a grow when i started. Was just the way i thought of keeping them plugged in.

if you have the y adapters...they put them on enough of an angle to get good light coverage

Most of my plants get watered/nutes every 3 or 4 days, but once you get enough in seedling/veg/flower stage (of a perpetual grow) it becomes almost every day

I take a zip tie and tie them down to the power strip. Loop it around the y adapter and the powerstrip and zip it.

the Y adapters will give them a slant, so they aren't vertical.

I lol'd

tell me about it...im glad they are still young right now...my last grows i was watering 1-2 times daily...even more as it got late into flower.....im just starting a perpetual grow with party cups and one gallon buckets..its easy now...but after i get 10+ plants im going to be regretting it...well as least as it comes to all the watering i will..gonna love the harvests every 2-3 weeks after all is dialed in
