The PC is set up! Gimme some thoughts

So I set this beast up, had to completely rip apart my old PC (IT SUCKED) Took about 8 hours to get this far haha. At first I couldnt figure out how to make the power strip stay there, I actually murdred a seedling because I used double sided duct tape and it fell and owned the seedling.

The intake are the 2 fans on bottom, exhaust is what the old pwoer supply is. I gutted it and will be putting my odor protection inside

The exhaust flows AMAZING. Everyont think it will work?! There is a little bit of light leaks when running but when stationary on the shelf you can barely see it. Its on the bottom shelf there in that pic =P

O that will work for sure, Just make sure in that small of space you either lst, or keep those plants real close to those lights so they don't stretch.

Yeah still gotta get some chicken wire, but I should have a week or so. Gonna scrog

not feeling your lighting setup... you might get one plant to grow/ flower in there you need more light... i did a pc planter and i used 4 100w bulbs and it flowered okay you really need around 6 or 7 100w bulbs :joint:

Do you mean 100 watt equivalent? Because 600 watts in that would be a furnace lol

Lmfao seriously =P He must mean equivalent or the plants would bake. My light setup is 2 26w 2700k, and 2 26w 6500k

Im just using the 6500 bigger ones atm for a couple days of seedlings to get em going.

That will easily get you through veg, for flowering you may want to get a few more 2700 k bulbs.

Well I got more of each just a matter of I can fit 4 lights =P

Note to everyone! Ace hardware. Its the place to be. they have 2700 and 6500 26w cfls for 99 cents each. INSANE! I got 8 of each

LMAO dude 600W of light in a pc case just screams FAIL. Your plants will be crispy as hell. just the thought is hilarious, thank you for making my morning.

too true...600W and you'll have baked weed...not good unless you have a jet engine sucking air through 24/7. I flower with four 23W bulbs and do just fine.

Nice job on the case, the only thing that makes me a bit concerned is that the lights are skewed towards the front due to the power supply box. You may want to rethink that, try to eliminate the power supply box, just leave the fan and enough room for a small scrubber, and then move the lights more toward the center... Watch your light leaks, if it leaks out then it leaks in too. You don't want any light leakage into the case during sleep time..

Check out my thread here for a really effective and small scrubber that is easy and cheap to build and I can verify works extremely well for just one or two plants.

Hey, thanks for all the input! Yeah I was thinking about the lights being off center but I think it will be ok. I will just turn the plant when needed. I wanted to keep the old power supply in there because it has 2 incredibly powerful fans right there and it exhausts like no other. Also I wanted to make sure I keep all fans and scrubbers on the inside of them com. As for light leaking in I do have it stored in the bottom of my hallway closet. The closed it really only opened once a day, and thats to check on it. So light leak shouldnt be too much of an issue

I was going to also just throw a blanket over it eventually (not the fans ofc)

side note : That seedling def died

the light that fell on him sat there for a while and actually like cooked his stem lmfao. Its all hard now =P
