yo yo rollitup

I'm pretty new to the forum but like to think I now a thing or two about growing some chronic. haah. but i'm really still a newb.

anyway...

As of today I am 4 days into the 12/12 cycle. First of you will probobly notice that my room is not full. This is because I want this to be somewhat perpetual next so I will be adding the rest in the couple of weeks.

So here is my setup

-DIY 40 x 40 x 36in attic grow box
-250 watt hydro farm HPS with DIY gheto hood.
-2 x 17 watt florescent tubes (shity)
-3 small fans (intake, oscillating, exhaust)
-3 (eventually 4) 5 gallon 6 site DWC units
-CLASSIC ROCK
- I know I'm forgetting some shit, so just ask if you want!

Nutes
-Botanicare pure blend pro bloom
-Botanicare Karma
-Botanicare Cal Mag
-Botanicare Silica Blast
-general hydroponics PH down.

looking to add the Botanicare SWEET to my mix. if any one has any suggestions please let me know! also getting some gravity in there once they start buddin!

Ok so let me explain this a little further..
I chose to use 4 different DWC containers (even though this is going to be a huge pain in the ass) to keep this grow perpetual. I want to be able to have plants that are in full bloom, flushing, and transition all in one space. I decided this was the easiest cheapest way to do this.
I will be setting up a small veg room to handle a few mommas and clones very soon.

The "BOG" (BOWL OF GREEN) is something I've been dreaming of for a long time, inspired from the half-pipe scrogs I've seen pictures of! The idea is to keep a level canopy equal distance from the light bulb. I know I probably should of let the girls veg a bit longer, but I got impatient and since this will be a continual grow I 'll have time to master it.

I have a root rot problem and am looking for advice to fix it!! i know hydrogen peroxide, but how much???????

I"ve got some root rot! can i cure this? HOW?

Nice setup!

Sucks to hear about root rot. What are your temps? There are a few things you can do to combat this. First, figure out if you would like to run a living or clean reservoir. If you want to go clean, run H202 or Dutchmaster Zone. I don't have much experience there. If your ambient temps are a bit hot, I would suggest going with a living system. Brew some bennies and introduce them to your system. Here's the recipe for success if you choose to go with beneficial bacteria: https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-how-breed-your-own-beneficial.html

^thank you for the input! and yes I believe the karma may have been making a slight root rot look much worse, but the aqua shield has really helped my root zone! so much new growth!

10 days into 12/12

sup dawg (coonwood) I think I got a good handle on what may not of even been root rot. most likely just a karma stain lol. but the aqua shield has made a huge improvement in my rooting zone!! that shit works!! get some! ha

just using tap water..

as far as res temps. I'm going to be completely honest. and you will all call me a newb but i have no other way of doing this. my room is in an attic that gets to atleast 130 degrees every afternoon. so I'm guessing my res temps are around 90 at least on average (YIKES I KNOW!) but again, this the only way i can do this right now, and honestly I don't think the heat is really that big of issue for these bitches, I think they might even like it! ha

they dont like it bro im pretty new to the garden life myself but i can honestly say i have been threw alot of issues and am finally getting everything dialed in and i believe i can help you....i asked about the ppms because i thought maybe your feeding at too high nute levels so post me your ppm asap as for the 90 temps throw a 2 liter of frozen water in the res to keep it cool u gotta lower them temps or issues will arise quickly i had my temps at a steady 90 for a lil more then a week not by choice and i had terrible burn and i believe that your burning is heat stress or high nutes or both...i can show u pics of beautiful green leafs and yours should have not a single bit of yellow right now...when dialing in nutes if u get your tips starting to burn back off at least 200 ppm untill you find the sweet spot. you did an awesome job lst them +rep...feel free to correct me if im wrong.

anyone have any experience with using florakleen or clear-ex throughout the grow in small dosages to help keep the res clean? I'm thinking about picking some up for this!

i think the other dude hit the nail on the head and most of your issues are coming from wayyy too much heat in your res.. i've heard that in dwc, you want your res temps to be down the 60s, so 90's is much much too hot for sure..
you can go the expensive route and buy a nice chiller made for this exact thing for a couple of hundred bucks easily, or you can do what the other poster suggested and get a couple of 2 litre soda bottles, fill with water, and freeze those babies, and once frozen put them into your rez to bring those temps down.. you should have like 4 of the bottles so you can keep two in the freezer till you need them, then switch them out with the two in the rez till they're not cold anymore and just keep flip flopping them around like that..
it can be a real pain in the arse dong so, but until you get those res temps down a lot, you're going to continue to run into lots of problems, especially once they start to flower hard..

^ I just do a general PH test, and my stats are on point as far as that is concerned.

40 days into 12/12....

getting a bit frustrated that they've yet to start flowering, but the good news the peak of the summer has passed and it gets slightly cooler and the days slightly shorter every passing moon.
got to stay posative.

I noticed a few white hairs this morning!! so hopefully if all goes well they should be in full flower in the coming weeks!!

not much has changed though since my last pics, so I've decided to show off my clone/veg rooms.
