as a chef,id say it doubtfull any will sprout..i think they bake em at a low temp at the factory..you can make tea ive heard,but that was from an old aquaintance,and he wasnt too bright...lol
 
nah I have a shit ton of sprouts.. they cant bake the organic ones cause they wouldn't be organic anymore is what I read on some other forum.. but yea they sprouts easy ans hell I just sprinkles on top of loose soils and in a few days sprouts everywhere

Well Mccormak poppy seeds are Papaver S. , so they will contain M , and C and the other lesser alck's . However they are likely a seed grown for food/oil reasons other than O. So they will likely cotain around half the wanted alck's

If i were going to grow , Id start with a known varity of O seed , or atleast get seeds that have a higher probality of being from the wanted crop, after all most of those seeds are sold for food
 
i grew california poppies in my flower garden one year just as a joke..i said if they grow,ill harvest some..it was a real joke to me later when i saw the pods..they were the size of a dime! lol...hell,idk if they even contained any goodies at all!
 
I tried California poppies several times in several ways on the off chance that something might happens.

nothing at all ever did.
