Schu says dumb racist shit all the time,

It doesn't mean she's a white supremacists.
actually, (in the past) i'm just trying to be funny by showing how preposterous xenophobia is..i don't think it goes over well in a posting forum, because posts can become flat based on how you read them and my humor is dry and sarcastic.

Oh right, Joe asked Barack not to endorse him...
The choice by Mr. Obama in some ways mirrors the choice by Mr. Bush of Dick Cheney as his running mate in 2000; at his age, it appears unlikely that Mr. Biden would be in a position to run for president should Mr. Obama win and serve two terms. Shorn of any remaining ambition to run for president on his own, he could find himself in a less complex political relationship with Mr. Obama than most vice presidents have with their presidents.

In other words, Team Obama was looking at Biden strictly as a veep, and perhaps as someone who could help out with congressional relations and international matters — but not as any sort of heir apparent or successor as leader and shaper of the Democratic Party. The assumption that Biden would be too old to run for president in 2016 is rather interesting now that he’s running four years later. But it does help explain why there was little apparent worry over Biden’s touchy history on racial issues. The Obama–Biden ticket had more than enough biracial bona fides to cover a multitude of old sins and associations.

The strong possibility that Obama and his closest advisors never intended to place an indelible kosher label on Biden’s record and outlook helps explain the 44th president’s hands-off attitude toward the 2020 nomination contest. But reminders of the shadier side of that record and outlook have given the former vice-president every incentive to snuggle up ever more closely to Obama. It could make for an uncomfortable but revealing dynamic as the voting phase of 2020 draws closer.

So let me get this straight, the perception that he is so electable comes from the notion that black people support him...
It remains unclear if Biden’s support among black voters is actually made precarious by such cavalier behavior, or if the presumption of his electability makes him immune to their potential fallout. But given the seeming incongruity of black voters’ early support, he is playing with fire. At the very least, his behavior conveys ingratitude: Flaunting his willingness to work with James Eastland and former Georgia senator Herman Talmadge — both of whom believed black people to occupy a subordinate class of human being — is, at the very least, disrespectful for a man so reliant on black support. But in a way, he is exploiting a timeworn dynamic. Black voters often back Democratic candidates who do not reflect their values — and sometimes actively harm their communities — in part because they know the alternative is worse. Black Virginians were forgiving of Governor Ralph Northam’s blackface debacle earlier this year. They also knew that if he was ousted, the spectre of Republican control would grow. Perhaps black Democrats will continue to buoy Biden’s candidacy in a similar fashion, and chart an easy path for him through the primary. But that assumes the resilience of a dynamic that the former vice-president insists on flaunting: that black voters will not waver in supporting the candidate they think they need, rather than a candidate they want.

He showed how racially insensitive he is in 2019 by defending his work in an old status quo. People were not holding it over Byrd's head after he left and disavowed the klan. Why can't Biden let us get past his racial insensitivity? I mean I get it, Biden has a black friend who has yet to endorse him, but the feelings are there and it shouldn't be an insult to you. I agree about the flaws though. He talks like a fucking dickhead.

"Yeah we can maybe decriminalize but we should study whether or not weed is a gateway drug", said the dinosaur as he pandered disingenuously to the potheads.
Listen. If any motherfucker on this board could understand how complex a person's emotional reactions can be compared to their:
-actual personal feelings (can conflict with each other sometimes --- I am case fucking zero - not proud)
-political feelings (need to honor legacy, duty, big dicks talk the loudest, yada)
-personal feelings (i'll never live up to barack, we all know that)
-motivational responses (who can I strangle for the most amount of cash all at once)

It's me, dude. I can understand what is going through that guy's head right now. It's always been me. Me and @schuylaar are probably the only feminine-ish voices on this board (if you can even call us that or it that) and I don't like to the play the card, but i can just... sense that shit in him. He's got to be terrified right now. Don't you think? So many of the people polling at 1-5% have such more awesome shit to say than him....

Oh right, gotta keep people separated to preserve culture...
“I think the concept of busing … that we are going to integrate people so that they all have the same access and they learn to grow up with one another and all the rest, is a rejection of the whole movement of black pride,” said Biden. Desegregation, he argued, was “a rejection of the entire black awareness concept, where black is beautiful, black culture should be studied; and the cultural awareness of the importance of their own identity, their own individuality.”

Questioning whether he might be a racist, Biden said he had asked "the blacks on my staff" whether he harbored something "in me that’s deep-seated that I don’t know."

I have this uncle who thinks he's open minded and forward thinking. He has a sunset for a profile pic. I don't actually know who the fuck he is. He comments on some of my posts and he genuinely seems to think he's not a complete racist piece of shit. He goes from Malthusianism to Rawnpawlery with ease.

He was absolutely shocked when someone called him a racist boomer.

Yeah, more about busing...
Biden helped kill the most effective policy for improving black educational attainment that America has ever known.
Joe Biden was for desegregating America’s schools, until his constituents were against it. When the Delaware Democrat launched his first campaign for the Senate in 1972, the Supreme Court had just ruled that the Constitution required policymakers to pursue “the greatest possible degree of actual desegregation” — and that forcing white students to attend schools in black neighborhoods, and vice versa, was a legitimate means of doing so. Being an enlightened liberal, Biden began his candidacy as an advocate for such policies. He accused Republicans of demagoguing the busing issue, and appealing to white voters’ ugliest instincts.

But as his campaign progressed, and Biden discerned that the arc of history was bending toward white backlash, the young candidate bent with it. He became a caricature of a white northern liberal — arguing that forced busing was appropriate for the South (where segregation was the product of racist laws), but unnecessary for the North (where, Biden pretended, it merely reflected the preferences of the white and black communities).

How racist were Biden's past comments?
“I do not buy the concept, popular in the ’60s, which said, ‘We have suppressed the black man for 300 years and the white man is now far ahead in the race for everything our society offers. In order to even the score, we must now give the black man a head start, or even hold the white man back, to even the race,’ ” Biden told a Delaware-based weekly newspaper in 1975. “I don’t buy that.”
