The REASON Why GOD Gave Us A CONSCIENCE Is To KEEP And/Or RESTORE Us, The BELIEVERs WithIn The BOUNDARY Of Our FAITHs' PATH;

Even If We Don't Intially Or Always KNOW Where Our FAITH Is Taking Us, At-Least We KNOW That We Are On The RIGHT ROAD Of Our FAITH That Is The CONSCIENCE, The CONSCIENCE The BRIDGE / PATH Of Our FAITH That CONNECTs And/Or DISCIPLINEs The NATURE Of Our HEARTs With The ESSENCE Of GOD's SPIRIT That Is The MANIFESTATIONs Of Our SOULs, The FULFILLMENTs Of Our TRUE / DIVINE DESTINY-ies.

Thus, To Further REALIZE Our FAITH The BELIEVER Of GOD MOST HIGH Must NURTURE The MINDs With DIVINE KNWOELDGEs According To The SPIRIT Of TRUTH On The CONSCIENCE Of The SOUL.
Thus, Conduct, That Information That Influence Our MINDs And Relative Behaviors That Poison And/Or Contradicts Our SOUL And CONSCIENCE Detour Us And Even Bin Into Failure.

I got dizzy just trying to decipher what the OP is trying to say, so many random capitalizations and hazy concepts. From what I can make out, I guess I would ask if a god gave us a conscience to enhance faith, what is the purpose of a conscience in non-believers? And which god are you referring to? There are thousands, but I suspect you mean the christian god? My conscience leads me AWAY from deities and dogma, mainly because they are so immoral. Conversely, religious nut jobs follow their conscience to do horrible things. The 911 terrorists were following their consciences, as was Jim Jones, the christian inquisitors, etc...

You'll have the same response to any of his posts. Half baked bits of quasi-philosophy shrouded in a veil of confused fog and completely devoid of style or substance.

Thanks for the heads up, Heis. I won't waste my time, then...

by no means am i qualified to judge this but i'd say this points to something

Word Salad! Never heard that before, but it's sure to become a frequently used phrase of mine :)

Well they aren't necessarily a waste of time, I enjoyed this thread. Okay so it was a waste of time too but it was fun.

ROTFLMAO! THAT was the most amusing thread I've read at RIU. From his lack of any response to this thread and the Colors thread, Prophecy is like some inane, deist god that creates a crazy thread and watches it go with no further intervention. Or perhaps he is only conscious to post for brief periods of time between very long stretches of drug induced coma...

(reffering to link) Your the only person I know that would make such a simple thread so complicated, ha. I would loge to smoke with you and ask you random shit to see your view on it.
I would be like "candle" and you would talk for hours proving so many great points.

wow, so you are better then us?

Hey bro calm down, he wasn't referring to religious people, he was referring to the OP prophecy. Although I do understand why you showed anger, I mean a lot of the atheist on RIU think they are better than religious people simply because they believe in what other scientist tell them is the truth.

I'm not arguing with anyone, just trying to make oly feel better.

Funny, I keep seeing this claim over and over and over yet no one has actually pointed to a post where it is clear that someone thinks they are better than someone else because they believe what scientists say. Now I'm sure someone feels they are better than others in certain areas like having rational, logical debates on topics like science. But is that really the same as someone thinking they are a better person in general? It appears that the religionists like to use the victim card quite often yet IRL the religionist is typically talking down to the atheist and making it sound like they truly are not a good person for lacking that faith thingy. In fact atheists have been treated as second class citizens. It truly is ironic when the religionist starts acting all butt-hurt when they are unable to show minimum level of standards in online debates.

Damn you chill out too, I'm not butt hurt bro. I can find (not going to though because it's a waste of time) a lot of posts that are rude such as people grouping all religious people together and calling them nutjobs, or grouping them together and saying there grammar sucks, or just insulting religious people's intelligence. Now you can lie to yourself mindphuk and say that you have seen no such post but as far as we are concerned we should take that offensively. Can you give an example of a time where you were treated like a 2nd class citizen due to being an atheist?

I never said those things didn't occur. You made a specific statement about atheists thinking they are 'better' than believers because of science... if you want to modify it to say that believers are sometimes ridiculed for their specific beliefs, fine but just realize that you said one thing yet when challenged you want to show evidence of something different. Who's lying now?
Can you give an example of a time where you were treated like a 2nd class citizen due to being an atheist?
Do you really need personal testimony to demonstrate the intolerance against atheists?

Just read about all of the bad things associated with atheism http://conservapedia.com/Atheist we are morally depraved and evil. People oppose the idea of atheists to marry their child more than they oppose someone of a competing religion!

To be honest I was too hooked up on the first sentence of your previous post to read the rest of it. I read the rest and realized that I jumped the gun and gave examples of things that you said you have seen. Understand that I said most not all. Also understand I never said atheist weren't mistreated either. I believe neither atheists nor religionists should be treated a certain way based on their faith. And when I asked for you to tell me of a time when you were treated badly due to being a atheist was to prove a point that from my experience the everyday atheist doesn't receive any hatred for their belief.

(referring to first link) do you believe everything you read? I don't believe that because I have seen many people show hatred towards gays and immigrants but never towards an atheist.

(referring to second post) Bro honestly I don't feel like going through all that. But I did take a look at the Texas thing and if that's why you added that link I must say that is wrong but honestly his plan won't work out it just won't. Learning about evolution is too beneficial to us, he's probably mad because they teach evolution but not the origins of religion (at least in grade school, which is probably where he plans to set his motives in action).
Either way can you give me a personal example of when you were shown hate for being an atheist so I have something to base these studies on?
Do not be mad with me mindphuk. I did not mean to come off as a dick, so sorry.

I tend to believe polls, studies and surveys when they all report the same information. Polls can be selective, studies can be flawed, and surveys can have too small of a sample group, but no matter the method big or small, the results always show atheism is not seen as an acceptable position. As reported on the daily show recently, Americans distrust atheists more than they do terrorists. Any politician, no matter if he has the brain of Stephen Hawking, the looks of Johnny Depp, and the charisma of Oprah, can not get anywhere near a seat of power unless he also believes in God. How much more evidence do you need than our own president, the leader of our nation and it's policies, declaring atheists non-citizens? This is not just disapproval, but outright prejudice. Throw in the polices of organizations like the boy scouts and you have blatant discrimination. Where is it that you are seeing any sort of rejection of Christians on this level in America?

Also keep in mind there are many more homosexuals and immigrants than atheists, it only makes sense that you are more aware of their plight.

What is the point of challenging me? I never said that Christians were more mistreated than atheists.
But to answer your question I have personally seen much more hate towards religion than atheists in my experinces in life. In my last years of highschool my "friends" thought I was crazy for believing in a god. They literally called me crazy in a playful manner though. If they were right or proved a point they would jokingly call me a crazy christian. I knew one person that would always try to convert me. Other than that I have been mocked during a debate with a classmate for bringing up religion. And even here on RIU I have been called crazy and a religious nutjob. I don't know maybe I have bad luck and just can't find people that accept believers for who they are but ehh who cares? Now that im out of highschool I don't mention my religion so that I won't get into a huge debate with another religious person or atheist, I believe that is a certain degree of rejection towards Christians.

May I ask you heis if you have ever had someone ridicule you for being an atheist?

I didn't mean to challenge you, but to ask a question. A question that hopefully would illustrate the disparity between the two groups in terms of prejudice. Again, it is natural that you would see more religious discrimination, since religious people outnumber atheists by far, and discriminate against each other. You must be careful when applying your personal experiences against societies views. I do agree with you on one thing, speaking strictly from my own experience, the younger generation is much more accepting of atheism and much more apt to be critical of religion. Perhaps this is because I tend to be exposed to stoners, and stoners like to think more, so I can not say that this is true all over. What does concern me is that some of the people I know seem to be critical of religion for the wrong reasons. Reasons born of hate and rebellion rather than rational inquiry and logical coherence.

May I ask you heis if you have ever had someone ridicule you for being an atheist?

Absolutely. I get insulted on Facebook almost daily. I am bombarded with posts about Jesus, prayers, salvation and the like while I can't make one post that is critical of religion without people telling me to shut up. I am no longer invited to certain family functions because I am an atheist and, as you know, do not hold my tongue when the subject comes up. When I delivered furniture, I had a guy refuse to be my partner because I had the nerve to point out that males do not have one less rib than females. I feel I missed out on advancement at that same company due to my views. None of this really bothers me on a personal level. I do not spend much time considering how I am seen by others in the context of my rejection of religion. It doesn't truly move me until you start talking about matters of policy and community.
