As long as you contribute to the economy, we have enough politicians and refugees suck holing off of us already.
Refugees? What's wrong with welcoming people who fear for their lives? You're not one of those, are you? Nah, don't be so easily manipulated into turning against others. Refugees are a drop in the bucket when it comes to government spending.

Look at the billions wasted on giving government grants to corporations, instead. Yes, small and medium business loans often go to small and medium sized business that are part of the corporate umbrella of larger companies. And some of those corporations own many of our traditional news outlets.

Like I said, I have no problem if they come here to be productive members to our country, but I don't believe that they have a right to only come and breed in hotels on the taxpayer's dime.

Buddy, that's a disingenuous argument. Their rights and obligations have long been determined. Canada is a signatory.

http://www.unhcr.org/1951-refugee-convention.html
Quite disingenuous yourself. The people walking across into Canada from the US are seeking refuge from nothing more than an expired temporary visa granted due to natural disaster YEARS ago. Most are granted temporary visas of 5-7years.

They're also in clear violation of the Canada US safe third country act which states You must claim refugee status in the first country you land in. In their case, the US. Making their claim of seeking refuge invalid. An expired temporary visa is NOT an acceptable excuse to try and game our social systems.

We have a more than generous immigration system. Apply through the proper channels and you're more than welcome to those social programs or any for that matter. Birth tourism is another issue as well.

In addition to what CalyxCrusher said above, many who have been making refugee claims are in fact not eligible to receive a refugee status due to being economic migrants which does not a refugee make

Let alone the fact that illegally crossing our border with the US is in fact a criminal offence ... sorry, but running from the evil orange man who wants to deport you for being illegally in the country does not a refugee make

Oh, lets also talk about deportation orders ... do you know how many of the recent 'refugees' crossing into Canada from the US already have deportation orders against them in the US? .... Over 900 .... And due to the way the Canadian immigration sytem works in regards to asylum seekers we have only been able to deport 6 of them, meanwhile our tax dollars are being spent to house the rest of them in hotels and other swanky locales courtesy of our libtard government while their claim goes through our courts ... then they appeal etc...

Don't get me wrong, legitimate refugees should be welcomed and given the necessary tools to make a living in Canada but from where I'm sitting it looks like the system is being taken advantage of and regardless of if you're on the right, the left, in the center or just high and looking down on it all, Canadians are getting screwed

Sigh. You do realize there is due process, right? The law cannot be dictated by the winds of intolerance. Stop acting as if desperate people are evil. Check your attitude, it stinks of privilege.
