Hey bud, yes I'm using them, this is my 1st full crop with autopots.

It's going well with a few exceptions.

I tried epsom and calmag but it made no odds, it's really odd since it's only 4 plants and all others were fine, they're in the above post?

When calmag and epsom didn't work I ignored them, my thinking was I'll ruin the others trying to correct the problem, it's not been easy but I've managed to pretend they don't exist :bigjoint:
We're u adding all cal mag through flower as on shogun it says not to on there calculator but I been debating hoying sum in my res as think they shoukd be getting sum

That bud does look sound on then although the leafs don't, but I see an American on insta and his leafs always look yellow but the bud looks fire on auto pots

Hey bud, I don't usually need calmag with canna ab I only tried it because of the yellowing but it continued so i stopped adding it (directly to the tray)
I noticed the buds weren't yellowing but idk what to make of it?
Anything possibles I could think of was ruled out with others looking fine.

To my eye they didn't look over/under fed but the leafs started yellowing irreversibly?

Most of what I've read about autopots is positive besides user errors, I don't have any concerns about continuing using them for my next crop.

Maybe u had a problematic valve, that where I read about putting the washer on the auto valve...

As he was saying he had a few yellow plants and didn't no how, then figured those trays were not emptying and refilling they were staying at the top level constantly al try find the thread again he explain it way better then me ha

Thanks for that bud, I'd seen the post but I'd forgotten about it, I've the opportunity so I'm going to test the valves and make sure they're emptying ok.

When the time comes for you to go on holiday you'll already have some idea of how long your reservior will last you, worst case you can add another smaller one with a length of hose siphoned between the two.

A tip I picked up for nutrient suitability is to let freshly mix nutrient stand in glass overnight and see if anything settles.

Yeah thats a good idea I never added zenzyme as it stinks so thought that is no good,

A&b
Silicone
Active boost
Flower burst
Root excelurator

Gona add cal mag next

Will probs cut the root excelurator out soon

They have been in since Saturday and no.smell on res yet and the trays still look clear no layer

Hoy u testing them just with a syringe to empty and watch them reset and fill, they say in the thread a high % of them are problematic valves

I was thinking might be cos they got wet feet too much for the plants liking but tbh im not so familiar with autopots or how common that can be a problem with em

Thats my understanding from seeing a couple posts about odd yellow plants in people auto pot grows and reading about problematic valves that don't empty just keep topping back off with water so stays constant at that 20mm

Hey bud, I was going to use a big syringe but it's a pain to reach the pots at the back, if i nudged the valve it refills lol.

Yesterday I checked the affected sites to see if they were completely full but one was close to refilling and another was around half way.

For the other pots I lifted the floats so they could fill up then turned it off until this morning then turned it back on and checked them, they appear to be working ok.

Cheers bud

Tbh bud I think you'll be fine, idk what I've done to make random plants look like that but from what I'm seeing most users I'm reading about are happy with autopots.

The test run I did yeilded me 188g and 166g and no problems with them during the grow, I could get used to that!

I hope all goes well for you with them, if I do suss out the problem I'll make sure i let you know what was causing it.

Cheers bud

I can't remember if mentioned I tried 11/13 after putting them to flower?
I vegged in 12-12 then 11/13 after sexing and re potting to flower.

I made some minor changes but it's much the same as previous crops except the 11/13 hrs.

Idk for sure what's responsible until i repeat it but it appears that 11/13 speeds things up.
At 7/8 weeks I've got 2 plants harvested and another 2 that'll be ready anytime soon?

This new to me, never have I had plants looking near ready at wk 7/8 the only major changes I made was changing the timer to 11/13.

I had a feeling that YouTube dude knew his way around a plant.
If you're bored it's worth a listen

Is that something you normally do with them?

I tried it years back but i can't remember anything special tbh, this time it's the quickest and the shortest crop overall I've grown.

It could be for a number of reason but tbh I doubt it, previously using much the same method 25/30" tall wasn't unusual this time they topped out at 16/22" tall and a couple 12/15" tall.

I do it to save on lecy mainly, never really took much notice to compare the plants, im more intrested in my scraps to make dab rather then the bud haha

Thats how much water they have drank in 5 days, think I'm gona do a res change tomorrow clean the bin and try the pump 24/7 see if stops the stain
