Running 24/0 for 4 weeks, there were a few days they were 18/6. Anyone know the benefit from 18/6 besides saving on your energy bill? Do they need rest during veg? I have it a little over a foot from the plants. Air conditioner plus 2 oscilating fans. I am hand feeding one gallon of water with general organics grow box kit between 12 plants at heavy feeding nute strength.

Looking good mate. Interesting to see how this turns out. About your question of 18/6 cycle; plants absorb light during their light cycle and turn it into energy to grow (more or less). You can find a lot of good information here. Basically some hormones are only produced when there is a dark cycle and the plant ultimately is healthier with a light and dark cycle instead of a 24/0 cycle for example. She needs the rest basically; this usually ends up resulting in a stronger plant and a more potent bud. You might get "more" growth if you have her at a 24/0 cycle but she won't be as strong. Think about it would this normally occur in nature, to have the sun always there day after day, just not how plants are meant to be grown. Read the thread it is extremely informative. Hope it helps.
