THANK YOU GUYS!

I wasn't expecting them to come anywhere near that quickly, that's awesome, you guys are great.

How am I best storing my beans until I'm ready to germ them? I want to look after these little babies, they're gonna be my pet project. I'm saving them until my white widows finish.View attachment 3629676 I'm so chuffed, today is a good day
That was fast! You must be neighbors lol. Congrats on getting in, the last comparative grow was great, good bunch of people sharing ideas/experiences :)

I think they would be ok to store just in the pack they come in, it's pretty airtight. I would just find a safe place that is cool, dry and dark for them (don't medicate right before you stash them ;) , that's not an easter egg hunt you want to go on).

I don't really have much to update on mine, the first month is torture lol. My 2 AxT and 1 HS are pushing out their 3rd nodes @ day11, sadly 1 HS died on the operating table so I am germing a replacement ATM. I may have to go back to school on my seed cracking, this round has been bad and I'm 100% sure it's on me . Oh, well.. we only fail when we learn nothing right?

Idk what companies you've tried, but I just received an entire lineup of nectar for the gods. I emailed them the start of last summer never got a reply. Came home one day last month with a box on the porch and received an email the day after asking if I had received my samples. Lol. The representative explained they was just getting around to filling request of samples emails. I couldn't believe it. General Organics usually will send out samples also. Just something to think about. (:
Any tips on asking for samples? I don't want to be cheeky but I want to dry something different with HS from what I've done so far, basically canna coco with their coco nutes, but I can't afford to be going on a big buying spree so I thought it'd be best to find out what I like before buying anything and I remembered you guys talking about samples. I'm looking into UK companies that do what I'm interested in but I'm not sure how to approach them. Maybe I'm just not assertive enough lol :peace:

I guess I just get hung up on asking for freebies, much as I can justify why I want to sample their product before I commit to paying out for it, I feel embarrassed asking. The more I think about it, the more I realise how irrational it sounds!
I'm also worried about how much to tell them, like it is illegal to grow pot and I'm not sure I'd feel right just ringing them and telling them I've got this awesome grow on the go... Am I just being paranoid? I do that sometimes.

I know, I was so excited when they came cos I thought it'd be a few weeks yet, I'm thrilled to know they're so easily available at The Vault and will definitely be using them when I'm ready to put an order in. Once I finish what I have running I'll pop the HS, so I'll be looking into the best ways people have found of germing their beans over the next few weeks and I'll have them ready to go before my 2 little cheese clones are finished so it should all work out about right on the timing. And when the HS are running I'll be looking into my next project, and that's when I'll be turning to the Vault because they've made this whole thing dead easy, and I wouldn't have thought anything of it if they hadn't been so great when they're giving stuff away for free, so I'm sure I'll be very satisfied with them when I'm a paying customer!

When I get the seeds ready and start doing the journal, where do I update you guys on how it goes? Or shall I share it in here when it's done?

I'm really chuffed to be involved alongside you all, I'll be looking to the more experienced growers for guidance on this cos I'm pretty much a newb and I've struck lucky so far but I have no doubt that at some point my beginner's luck will run out! I've never grown autos so I've been reading a bit about that, and will be reading a whole lot more before I start them but I need to focus on getting my other plants full term first.

Thanks again to the Vault, and to everyone on this thread for your contributions knowledge-wise and for thinking of me when it was reopened. I was tagged by a couple of people and I'm really grateful to all of them. I hope I have paid it forward and can continue to do so. I dunno what I'm smoking but it's making me soppy. I wish everyone a very happy comparative grow :peace:

Lol man don't even worry about them saying no they don't know you don't ever be embarrassed your trying their product if it's a good reputable company they will hook u up, lol I don't think they will care that you grow medicine their product is designed for cannabis it's a multi billion dollar industry they don't care about your 10 cheese plants they want that money..so if they have to send out 30 bucks in product to make 50 next time it's all good to them good luck

No I am a transplant from Illinois. I moved to Houston in the mid 70's with my mom so we could pursue medical treatment for me at the med center. I have lived in various parts of Texas since then.
In years past I used to visit rock island and port Byron for tug fest. Was a blast!

Not sure if you were old enough in Illinois to have seen it. It's a big tug of war over the river between the states
No, I lived in the Naperville, Aurora, Downer's Grove area; not much out there then. I do have very vague memories of going to see tractor pulls with my "father" but that's about it. Back then, Ray Rainer was one of main priorities in life.

You know, come to think of it I myself have been having some issues with germing and I've been growing for a good while. Started 9 strains recently and had to help to out of there shells because they ended up sprouting a centameter tap then stopped. 1 died and that's just not like me. I usually get a 100% rate when it comes to germ process. I wonder if the x-rays they use in the usps cause the beans issues with germination? Just a thought.
