No, I just use them once a day, but they're 24oz. The water temp fluctuates between 60-80 and then back down to around 70 at night. Daily fluctuation is okay, you just don't want to be sitting in the high areas too long.

Moved the light a couple inches closer.. really want to ease into those spectrums. Paranoia probably.

How do you combat slime issues with temps getting so high?
I personally never have a problem with my water temps in the low to mid 80's. Just don't use any organic based nutes. I use Sensizyme to break down dead root matter.

What happens if the plant is sitting in high areas of temperature for too long? All that I experience is a little more space in the inter nodes. If you're using organics then obviously slime will occur.. Other than that, I get extreme growth rates and very happy ladies at the high water temperature.
I have never used frozen bottles before. I have read that once your root system grows, the bottle will lean against the roots and kill them. Seems logical. Just wondering your thoughts on this.

take it easy

I use organics.. so I have to keep my rez temps cool.

As for the bottle leaning on and killing the roots.. The frozen bottles only stay in 20min twice a day, and my water never goes below 40*F. The colder the water the better DO level you can have.

I have a slight problem with one of my seedlings.. I know it's a lumen issue, so I need an expert.

Here she is:

And here is my other one.. same distance from bulb.. same strain.. same EVERYTHING.

Why is one seedling responding so negatively to "optimal" lumens, while the other of the same strain/conditions is curling and showing signs of stress?

Different phenos man. Those seeds would be what you call F2's and are not gonna be all exactly the same like F1 seeds.

could be bad seed could be the rockwool ph is alittle off could be the pepples not cleaned well could be the water temps or u could have to diff phenotypes and one is alittle more fussy than the other...... hope this helps my gud friend lol

jimmyjam22 beat me to it nice 1

whats ur ph at bro

You are both probably correct.. about the phenos. The ph is kept around 6 flat. The temps are all correct.. The only thing I can think of is one of them has less lumen resistance which means I have to raise my light more.. thanks guys.

try the lumen thing out if its still playin up drop the p.h to 5.5 for a week and take it up to 5.6 the following week and so on till ur at around 5.8 or 5.9

5.5ph will give it more magnesium might be alittle more hungry for that but try what u sayin bro...

Just raised my light.. will see how the next node comes out and then react accordingly.
