It was a lot of fun! Free food and medibles, and gracious hosts made the event spectacular. Lots of great information being passed on by the TGA crew. I only got to stay for a little bit, but got to take a whiff of the Pinot noir hash... Goodness, it smells like a tootsie roll with some slight mint on the back end. Just spectacular stuff.

Thanks to Jinx for being such a good host!

Yield? Taste? If your strains are poly hybrids. That means they can be wildly unstable. Which generally means you can find large and small yielders within the population. Which means, you should clone or breed plants that you find that you like...

Are TGA strains dank? that depends on what your criteria for dank is. And here's what I judge by.
1. Visible and invisible resin content (meaning does it look crystaly, and how much hash does it produce)...
2. Flavor: What's it taste like? Strong taste? Good taste? does the flavor reverberate and stay in your mouth?...
3. Structural integrity: How does the bud stand up to quick drying by microwave? ...
4. Aroma: How does it smell? (Which can be very different from actual flavor)…

LOL, you could put prized winning bud in the microwave and it could come out tasting like a rotten butthole. I have never once heard someone say: "Dude, that quick-dried, microwaved bud is the BEES KNEES! It tastes soo wonderful!"

Curing is where/when the true flavor/aroma comes out of the flowers.

IMO of course.

I haven't heard anyone use the BEES KNEES since my Great-Grandmother's era.

Lol, sorry about that, Santa. I am super stoney this morning. Apparently too stoned to see a good joke.
Although, I have seem similar comments on these forums...with the poster being 100% serious.

Just received my Dr. Who from Hemp Depot. Last month I got my order of Spacedawg, the Flav, and Timewreck from Attitude. I for one, am a satisfied customer of both seed banks and am even happier with the genetics I have chosen. I really enjoyed growing out every seed of the Vortex, Plushberry, and Querkle. Only problem is, I can start 1.5 packs of seeds, 10 of 1 and 5 of the other. I will be saving the best male for the first time cannabis breeding experience. Thanks Sub! Peace.

My patented toaster technique is the only way to go for quick dries ;) Sure nothing beats curing, but if you don't have time for that.... my method it actually comes out smooth and sweet... potency loss? hard to say if you're desperate enough to quick dry your tolerance is already down :) it does the trick :)

I think it's under my old profile but it's pretty simple... basically make a little aluminum foil holder to hold the bud, put it on top (not inside -- also don't block both holes or the toaster will overheat... found this out the hard way...) of one of your toaster holes for bread, turn the heat on the toaster down low and toast away... will take several times 'toasting' your bud depending on how much/how dense it is - in between toasting you can rotate/move the nugs for even 'toasting'. Brings out a really sweet sugary smell in the buds I like... and as long as you're growing organic it's pretty smooth. End product looks like finished cured bud. I only use it if I'm stuck between harvests with no bud :)
