This is Dutch Passion White Widow. Looks much more Sativa Dom then the other guys flowering WW. His cola's look like typical WW. Big and thick. He's a bit farther along than I am. This girl has a month to go. She was put outside as a clone on July 1. Not bad for 90 days of growth. She definately keeps growing after flower. The shorty White Berrys nex to her wer put outdoors at the same time.

The high noon shadows are hiding her a little. But you get the point. Here is a shot of my one WW. Both sides. She's all cola.

I'm so jealous...I would love to grow out on my deck:-( Those are the plants you get 4 ounces Ripdamon. Very nice.:weed::clap:

It looks like it was topped a lot. More topping the plaint more buds?

Makes sense.
Thanks for the compliments guys. That's after only 90 days of outdoor growth. If I were to have put her out Mid may instead of July who knows what could have happened.

In my experience, the largest producing outdoor plants see no topping. I only know a few guys that are regularly producing 1lb+ per outdoor plant harvest. None of them top. They just let her grow.

My indoor experience is very limited but again, all my friends that I consider to be very exprienced don't do any topping.

I know you get two tops and maybe four from fimming. But the highest yielding growers I know all across the state don't top or fim.

I'm not saying topping is bad. I'm just stating what I have seen.

I have a 35+ top sativa rolling right now. No topping. No need too.

I didn't like what I was seeing on a plant today that is indoors. It got topped though. Only because I know the strain and this particluar clone of this strain wasn't acting like her sisters.

yeah no topping needed when growing outdoors. sky is the limit for height. I have seen pics of the outdoor trees you speak of and there looks like there is more than a pound of bud on some. Amazing really. I would love to do one of those. NoCal dudes are so lucky.kiss-ass

I grew up in the 707 of NorCal. I think that hits pretty much Sonoma, Novato, Napa,Fairfield ...even Lake County. While the triangle is the Mecca without any argument, the outdoor an hour or two south of them is hanging in there too. :bigjoint:

I'm no master grower but have been watching and helping since 92'. This year is really my first grow as an adult. I consider it a success and I have yet to harvest. I've learned enoug to move on to next years battles...that's it really.

Just trying to tune my brain into the plant ya know.

What would have happened to that WW I've got with 45 days of extra veg?

Cool thread Joe :weed:

here's what I've got going:

Growing Medium: Soil (Janeco Light Mix by ATAMI)

Lights: 400w HPS

Nutrients: BioBizz (entire range), AN Phirana, No Mercy Supplies liquid bat guano, plus some blackstrap molasses

Breeder of Strain: clones from Green House Seeds mothers

Room Specifications: Homebox L w/carbon filter + extraction fan, Honeywell circulation fan, and light on "yo-yos".

They just started flowering today. The 8 at the back are WW; 7 on the front are AK-47s.

looks good. i got 4 clones, outdoor, using kool bloom and fox farms organic based line.

All those plants look healthy 420. I little much for 400w and that size of a grow cabinet. WW's have a history of consuming their environment. On some indoor grows we put 2 WW's in 6"x6"x36" rockwool slabs. So two plants on 3ft of slabs. You've got four in about 3ft. But then have four more less than a foot away. The math scares me.

I would put two WW's in there and yield the same as all those plants combined, or put one WW in there with about 2 or 3 other strains for a nice multi strain grow. It looks very clean and nice but with 400w and what looks like a 3x3 space I'm worried about crowding.

top left and bottom right are widows, all of them tied down in various ways since week 2 or so. The whole lot has been in 12/12 for 6 days now after 1-3 weeks vegging.

Welcome Sp32 You are just a couple of weeks behind a few of us here. So you should see pretty well what your grow will look like. Feel free to post any questions you have.

Ok I have a question. If I stick my finger 3" deep in a 12" 5gal pot and it is dry would I still water it? they are 3 to 4" tall and I just gave them a half gallon of water to the 3 of them 5 days ago.

thanks:-(

Feel the weight of the pot...is it still heavy or weighty? if so don't water. The top 3 inches may be dry but yes there still could be plenty of moisture. I use to keep a pot (same size) full of dry soil to compare. Once you get use to it I think using feel of the weight is the best way to determine watering time.
The great thing about soil growing is nothing happens quickly. If it gets to dry the leaves will droop. I also will wait to see this before watering although the WW seams not to droop until really dry:roll: Also If you have a small plant in a big pot don't saturate it. Just enough so the water will soak the roots.

If you have a hard time knowing for sure when to water/feed your plants, I've found the siimplest thing to do is just go to any local store that has gardening productss and pick up a moisture meter. They only cost$4-$5 and let you know for sure every time. Once you get more used to it, it is real easy to tell if they need water by the weight of your pot. Lift it up a little right after you water and compare to right before you water. there is generally a huge difference. Hope this helps, any other questions, feel free to ask.

I've never used a moisture meter but everything I'm hearing sounds right to me. My outdoor plants are all knee deep into flowering. Suddenly their watering demands have increase by a good 50%.

As your plant grows so will its thirst.

I do the finger method. One down into the top soil and one at the bottom of the pot where drain holes are. If the soil on top is dry and the soil down low has an out of the bag potting soil moisture level. Odds are it's about time to water.

Or you can just watch the plant and wait for the first signs of a wilt. You'd be shocked at how far they can go before they wilt.

If your plants are in the ground you don't have the luxury of checking the weight of the pot or the moisture at the bottom. All you can really do is watch the plant and there is nothing wrong with that.

i go by the weight of the container...easy to lift=time to water

trust me on this it'll bcome second nature....i look at my pots and can tell u now just by soil color

but always error on the side of under-watering
