TANNING BULB??

I always stick a halide back in the last 14 days and off for a week, to get them to put out as much resin. Halides uv rays make the plants try and protect themselves with the resin glands. SO.......I was wondering if anyone has tried to supplement with a tanning bulb? Is that crazy? I could only imagine that a tanning bulb or two, with regular HID would make em squirt crazy style!!! WHUDAYA think??
I have heard about this for more resin production. i was thinking I would add some smaller reptile UV bulbs towards the last weeks of flowering.

With the tanning bulbs I think it would get a little too complicated. You need another ballast to run those.
Also They have to be on a separate timer.

And You do not want to be in the room with that bulb is on.

I want mad resin too but I dont want to risk Cancer to achieve it.

I use a 430w Son Agro with 30% blue spectrum throughout flowering and this seems to work well for me. I always have heavy thick trichome growth.

Ahhhh reptile bulb. I knew there was something along the lines of a tanning bulb, for uv rays. Probably ALOT easier. My ladies are squirting pretty well now. I just had a wake-n-bake moment and thought
HOW ABOUT A TANNING BULB!!! :wall: derrrrr

I use my AGROMAX chrome dome lights for bud growth and final flower swelling, but after swelling has stopped I switch back to my HORTILUX blues for resin. So I think its basically achieving the same thing. :leaf:

Here is my first attempt at WW.

I bought Fem Dutch Passion WW and germed 2 seeds mid July. After they germed I planted them into a mixture of 50% Sunshine mix #1 and 50% perlite. Once they broke ground, I placed them under T-5 lights for 3 weeks and then moved them under my 400 watt MH.

These 2 will be my moms and I started LST as soon as they went under the MH. I also like to train my mothers to grow in a circle around the top of the container. Sprout #1 has already turned the first corner. Sprout #2 is slightly behind also doing quite well. I anchor the sprout using a thin bamboo stick and a plastic zip tie. Then I use soft cotton string and zip ties to tie them down as I train them around the container. The node spacing is very close and I will top them after #2 turns the first corner. They are growing in 2 gal pots. That size seems to work well for my mothers. Clones will be flowered under air cooled 400 watt HPS when that time comes.

I am a medical patient and will look to be growing plants larger than what I am used to due to having a 12 plant limit. I am considering going hempy, but soil is what I know. Anyone doing WW hempy bucket style? I hate to experiment with the first clones but I am intrigued with hempy bucket grows.

Great thread! I am excited to see so many other people trying this fabulous strain.

Hello all, I just started some white widow, seeds where germinated on the 22nd and transplanted to DWC on the 24th. Don't have any pics yet as I need to go get a digital camera...cell phone camera sucks. Will post pics soon

- DWC, (5gal buckets x6) hydroton/rockwool in 6" net cups
- 1000w MH/HPS with electronic ballast/aircooled hood
- Sensi Grow/Bloom
- Ontario's Best, non-feminized
- 9'x8'x8', 440cfm exhaust fan with Can-75 carbon filter, 178cfm fan for hood

It looks healthy Louisc But you still have many weeks to go.
You really need to flood them with light, You will have Heartier Buds Structures.

The two at the back and the 3 in smaller pots are white widow. The two at the back have had their leaves go evenly yellow in the past few days, N deficiency? Or too hot?

Looks real good. Im about to transplant into some real soil.
They have been in FF light warrior which has no nutes.
Mine have been yellowing a little. So they are going into some FF Happy Frog.

Do you think its ok to plant them into their final pot now?
Going into 3gal containers/

I think yellowing is N not heat, but whats the temp in the room?

She's in a 5 gal bag and is 32" tall. She hermied last week but none of the clones hermied. They all went 12/12 at the same time in the same box. None of the other strains have hermied.

I've been picking off the few bannanas that show up. Would you guys keep doing that or get rid of it? I don't want to get rid of it because she's huge and beautiful but I also don't want it to seed the rest of my 12 plants.....

Oh ya the White Widow is from Green House Seeds. Not to happy with the mix pack I got from them. Two didn't germ (Big Bang and El Nino) and now the hermi....:cuss:

Nice man keep clipping those nanners. I would try to pollinate one stem on a different plant, and see if you get some fem seeds out of it.
worth a shot at least.
