The yellowing of the undercarriage perfectly normal.... right?

I know these aren't getting much light at all underneath the canopy. I've tried to trim as much as I can from underneath the canopy but just going all Edward Scissorhands on them in week 3 of flower just seems to the noob like a bad idea.

It's water and haircut day though so I'll trim "some" more. That said, these turning outright yellow underneath (they hadn't done that up to now) is "normal"?

Topside looks pretty healthy to me. They just lookin all Demi Moore circa 1981 to me on the undercarriage.

ThanksIMG_3235.jpgIMG_3234.jpg as always!

I give them a 5-5-5 every other watering. I guess I could go a little higher on the nitrogen. The topside seems to not be doing in whereas the ones getting pretty much no light are turning yellow. 3 weeks into flower, if they don't at least have a strong stem and making it through the first canopy net then maybe they should just go at this point?

My guess is still low N. Week 3 stretch takes a lot of N.

I'll load 'em up next feeding, which seems to be about every 2-2.5 days nowadays.. Side question though, I use a dehumidifier to keep the humidity down. My humidity right now normally is right around 50ish, sometimes a tish higher, sometimes a tish lower and on days I need to water, it'll drop into the lower 40's even. The tank filled up overnight and I woke up to 69% humidity level. Is that gonna rot my goodness? IT couldn't have been for more than a few hours. I immediately emptied it and cranked my inline up and I'm now down to 63% and dropping. Am I Gonna be ok? I've read you won't even see it coming until you harvest. Ugh

Everything under the bottom net should be cleaned up. Bud sites & branches with growth well behind the tops can go.
This will probably be a lot better for the upper level growth in the long run.
Did some good cleanup last night (their "day" of course), looks a lot better. At best those may have had some little popcorn in the end but I would prefer all the goodness go to the big boys.

Do you have any recommendations on how to boost the Nitrogen? If I do Bloom + Micro, that gives me a 5-5-5 but I'm about out so I need to buy some more today. Been using Cultivation Nation nutes from Fox Farm thus far + CalMag but I'm very open to suggestions...

If you have good airflow and exhaust you should be ok.

Dense canopy means lower light intensity to anything inside that trap.

which usually turns yellow or pale green due to lack of light.

as others have mentioned clear up the growth under the screen.

maybe selectively thin out the canopy a bit to allow more airflow and light to reach the lower canopy better.

Done a lot down below but I think you are suggesting maybe look for those big boy fan leaves more towards the top of the canopy that block a lot of light?

and anything scrawny looking that won’t amount to much bud (small popcorn and larf stems etc)

As for leaves depends how dense they are etc.

Im a firm believer in keeping a good amount of leaves and never heavily defoliate but I do lollipop and train into a scrog.

Example of my own.
