so I just got a batch of clones gifted to me. They had roots that were up to 12" long in an aero cloner, then they were transplanted into these little styrofoam cups...... I am going to mess around with them and start a thread about it.

They have spidermites.

Read several pages, subbed, and will add +rep when I figger that part out. Will be back to peruse the rest as my eyes return to normalcy, or what passes for it.

I suppose these are the aforementioned t/w clones?? Good luck with your 'experiment'!

This was written to me about my wife Lavenderstars, she had an indoor grow going, and is going to be doing more and more growing over time-

it may be better to start her out with only a few and let her have some practice and success to build up confidence before she has the challenged of tending too large a number. imo. let her get her feet wet gradually.

be sure to give her lots of praise and encouragement and you will have a magnificent growing partner in no time!

enjoy you two

This was my response- I feel it is pertinent here.

Oh, she has been dipping her toes on a regular basis for the better part of 6 years. She has learned a lot along the way, and has helped me tend every crop of mine in one way or another. She is a mom, of 3, at very difficult ages to deal with, and she is Fantastic!! She is the best grow partner anyone could ask for! She truly does have a green thumb. Its kind of funny how things work sometimes. I will kind of supervise and watch the progress of everything, and comment on it. She is the person that keeps our veggies and fruits going, and she does a fantastic job. She has an amazing aptitude for attention to detail, and has the intuition required to tend and treat plants well. Her heart is so big, there is room for all. She has gotten so much practice over the years, that she is not far off from being a pro. The more involved she is, the better our results are. In terms of success.... none of my grows have been as successful by myself, as the ones that she has put herself into as well,
.

But on the subject of this grow journal....

I killed it. We weeded out all the males, and then I took what was left and put the females outside, where they will finish. The batch is gone, it got absorbed into my grow. But I have a batch of fresh clones that was gifted to me. They all have spidermites, and didn't go through the best of cloning/potting methods. I think we are both going to jump on it as a project together, and get our indoor op back up and running with them. When it comes down to it, she is better with indoors than I. When I would see issues and not deal with them because of everything else in my life that I have to deal with, as soon as I mention it to her, she handles it. She handles it properly, appropriately, and to the letter of my instruction. To my delight, my instruction with her action seems to be a method of perfection for our plants.

Maybe they just respond better to the female touch? I know I respond with a special salute at her slightest graze of my skin, or even a fleeting thought of her thighs or smile. And when I smell her, I go crazy! Not her perfume, she doesn't wear any. Not her deoderant, she thankfully doesn't wear any. When I smell HER, I can do ANYTHING. I could follow her scent to the end of the earth, and die there a happy man just having had the opportunity to follow it, maybe to taste the sweet nectar it would lead me too. But of course I am in love, and more in love than I ever have been before.... and I know tomorrow, it will be even more..... Though I can't imagine it now, I will grasp it tomorrow, and maybe share the revelations that come with it.

When I think of my future grows...... I know she is my most vital resource. Without her I would be lost, following a whisp of thought, the desire to smell that scent..... but I have her, and together we taste the sweet nectars of each other, and our successes
.

Thanks for helping pry the door to some enlightenment on this subject! The more I realise these things, the better off we all are
.

I wasn't... but there are positions open.

I am very picky, and with extremely high standards. Im very blunt, and often hurt people by giving them my honest opinion. I have turned down many, and will hold out for the right ones.

I don't feel that I am qualified to teach the Hash making class.... though I do know a good deal about it.

Organizing the school is just a lot of work all by itself.... first classes aren't set to start for another year and a half!

Yep sure have.

Not sure about the tuition. I am still working on how much getting it all going is gunna cost me. I will make it as cheap as possible, and allow for "schollarships" and student work programs ;). Eventually I would like the school to be associated with the state some how.....

Knowledge is the greatest payment to me,
i would spend a good amount if i could gain more knowledge about growing/hash making/etc. and i bet you sir have a massive amount of knowledge to teach!

That would be sick if you could have the state fund for some materials and stuff.
Have you ever had this type of hash before?

yes I have had the "ear wax" we just call it Gold ;) ..... I distribute bubble bags that my family makes.... and see a lot of hash in the process, ;).

wouldn't want funding from the state actually. Just acknowledged by the state. Maybe be able to work with the state regarding legislature and regulations. Once the state gives you money, they get their hooks in you and want to change things around. A school with a well respected reputation on the other hand, can use its academic standing to help influence our state with more reasonable legislature and regulations that is not based on personal politics, agendas, or profits ;).

I like your idea. I have a couple of strains that are stretchy and this seems like a good way to slow them down. I'll try it as soon as the clones are ready.

we sell them for wholesale prices. But its against riu rules to advertise here or do business etc ;).

You mean supplying dispensaries with medication?

I am so against dispensaries its not even funny. What Dispensaries have become is what represents most everything that it is NOT all about, that prop 215 is NOT all about, that I am against, and what politicians and Big Business want you to believe.. I actually got banned from riu for voicing my opinions on the matter. It comes down to what the writers of 215 intended, and how that has been manipulated, ;). It has never been about the money. It has been about compassion for sick people. And I seriously doubt any "compassion" that comes out of 90% of the clubs. I know too many club owners personally to believe it......
Some clubs truly are compassionate though, and do their best to help their patients, and encourage a healthy lifestyles and life long friendships. They are becoming fewer and farther between.

A perfect example, and an experience becoming more and more familiar to people:
A medical patient grows for herself and a couple other medical patients truly in need.
After harvest, they divide up the meds, and they still have extra medication.
So, in order to help provide for other patients that are truly in need they take it to a local dispensary.
They put a lot of effort and money out to secure the meds, and ensure it is quality medical cannabis free of mold, mildew, pests, or other disease.
Its not the prettiest cannabis in commercial terms.
They feel 100 an oz is fair to ask in compensation for their time, money, etc.
The club owner looks at it, and laughs at them, tells them he wouldn't take it for free, and shoves commercially grown expensive indoor nuggets in their faces.
They offer to leave it for free so it doesn't go to waste.
The club owner laughs them out of his shop saying it would make him look bad, and good luck anywhere else.
20 minutes later, 60 yr old patient with multiple diseases/ailments/disorders walks in, living on SSI and Disability, screwed out of a pension because they literally got sick from their old job. Broke.
Club owner smiles as they walk in, is kind and "compassionate". He sales this patient a gram of "Finely grown indoor medical cannabis" for the only $20 the patient has.
The patients symptoms are relieved by this gram for a total of 4 hrs, that night they can't sleep or eat.
The grower that originally took in their extra to the same club meets the patient the next day, feels truly compassionate, and gives all their extra to the person that really needs it.
The grower then learns the true value of their deeds.
The patient then learns the true value of the dispensary they visited.

It actually makes me cry. It hurts deep down. It doesn't have to, ;).

Their are two sides to this coin. Many growers hate me for making such reiterations, few love me fore it. I am just myself, and it is what it is. We need to think about what it should be, and what we can do to make it so, ;).

Damn man. Now i know.....
That is down-right sickening. knowing that dispensaries are like that. id rather take my money for my meds. to a grower out in the woods who knows the word "compassionate".
Reading this is the reason i would not put my money to those clubs. Im among the few that commend you on it. im glad to hear your that type of guy who is always there to lend a helping hand. :)
Thats so true $20= 1g. 4 hrs. of symptoms relieved. then back to the shit hole of pain and suffering.
How could people be so heartless.
