thermostat to control a heater and fan

Hi can anyone advise me how I wire up a thermostat to switch on a fan when the temp gets to high and another to control a heater when it gets too cold please?

I can buy a pair of thermostats for about £10 but to buy a unit ready made from a hydro shop this will cost about £180, there must be a simple way?

Also if anyone can help with this, is it relatively easy to also make the fan idle at a minimum speed.

Thanks for looking guys

Just had a look at instructables and I could find a way of wiring a thermostat to control a heater and it looked a little more complexed than I had imagined.

Jorge Cervantes in his ultimate grow video shows him setting up a grow space with a board with a humidistat and and thermostat controlling fans, he doesn't say how its done just that the wiring is simple, does anyone know what you have to do?

What does everybody else use to control the temperature in your grow rooms? in fact scrap this I'll start another thread for this.

(allow a few degrees between when the heater goes on and when the cooler goes on so u dont ahve em both counteracting echother all the time.) done.

Cheers guys

I bought a primair after, keeps the fan turning as much as you set and kicks into full power when the room gets too hot - switch it on, forget about it, nice

you could experiment and try to keep your room a constant temp. my seedlings are in the basement where it is normaly this time of year about 55-60 so i use a space heater during light to bring temp to 70 and let them ride dark out at 55-60 seems to be working fine. goodluck
