the cheap 23-26w cfl's deliver far more light for the dollar, these types of cfl's are a luxury version
i can understand the desire for big light packages to avoid the messing with a lot of small bulbs
but at this point even a cfl fan like myself would start thinking a HID bulb would make more sense

i have 3 of the 105w(actual) i use and they put out some light. if i remember right they are close to 6000 lumens each.

dat cri. Mmm, this is tempting. Thoughts? My main concern here is lumen per watt. Also, from my understanding, a high cri basically means that the bulb's spectrum is more usable to the plants. I know there is way more to it, just trying to summarize best I can. So a bulb with 90+ cri will have a lot of output in all spectrum's, so the kelvin rating is not as important in such a bulb as it will have strong output in all spectrum's. Like I said, I know their is more to it, and from what i understand their is still a lot more research to be done in regards to par ratings and such.

over here i have 4-23w = 92 actual watts. 1 bulb puts 1600 lumens all 4 put out 6400. just a note, theres a little bit mure lumens. little bit more difficult tho

Just have to "Mure" them together.
you all cant be serious.... if i ahve one light bulb that puts out 1600 lumens. yyou cant even begin to tell me that if i take three more of those samw light bulb and jam them all together an inch away from eachother. that theres still only going to be 1600 lumens ouput. its how many lumens output not how many are retained. if these light bulbs held a purpose of retaining 1600 lumens a piece then sure, i guess youre not going to add them together when you combine them. jst think about it.
i dont think any of you are electricians. as to where thats what i asked.
