Hello all, so I’m running 3 clones, under FS LED’s…growing in a coco mix w/ dry organic amendments. I’ve grown the same way for the last 5-6 runs and never had this issue.
Anyway, it’s around week 5-6 of veg and I was planning on flipping soon. One of the 3 plants has some weird purpling & fading on most of the older leaves. I’ve noticed no other problems or issues.
The 3 clones are all different strains…..the other 2 look the normal shade of green.
You’ll notice that not all the leaves on this particular plant are showing this but seem to be trending that way as they grow.
I have topped and trained all 3 a fair amount and have their canopies about where I want going into flower.

100% magnesium deficiency or lockout. Probably deficiency, knowing coco
If I had to guess, just based on those leaf charts I would say Mag shortage…..but that’s only a guess.
U know how a lot of growers like to tweek recipes and always try to make things better…..unfortunately I’m one of those.
My last few grows have gone without a hiccup. Other than one plant turning Hermi that is.
Anyway, this run I decided to start adding gypsum powder (for the calcium), but failed to account for any extra magnesium.
I’m afraid to get too heavy handed w/ the cal mag for fear of too much calcium.
Do you think some straight epsom salt may do the trick?? I’ve never used it.

Foliar spray. A tablespoon of epsom salts in a gallon of water. Add a drop or two of liquid soap to help it not roll off the leaves.
