They start to show sex on 18/6?

It is my first grow.Seeds are random seeds.My plants are 4 weeks old from seed. My lighting is set to 18/6 and i was planning to veg them more 4 weeks before 12/12,however they started to grow fast last few days and today i can see they are showing sex.Why suddenly they start to flower on 18/6 lighting? What i have done wrong? What should i do now?

and i was planning to take clones before i put them on 12/12.Is it possible to take clones during flowering?

those are preflowers. they and alternating nodes means the plants mature and can be flowered whenever you want. Nothing to worry about. Yes, you can clone from flowering plants. clones from flowering plants get extremely bushy after rooted and reverted back into veg mode.

if they can show sex during 18/6 on 4th week, why people put them on 12/12 to find out sex?

i mean the video of mr.green and following his description

they dont usually show sex indoor at18/6. Did you have a power blackout day?

Good question. I guess the lack of patience and a instant gratification sort of thing.

Plants will usually show pre flowers when they become sexually mature, regardless of the light cycle. Usually ~5-8 weeks from seed.

IMO, the whole 12/12 thing to determine sex is kind of silly and really doesn't save any time. As you've seen, the plant will show you all on it's own.

A female plant that is sexualy mature before it is forced to flower is a happier performer. less stress and better smoke. proven fact. Higher thc content in a mature plant. This is why clones of clones are bettewr than the original mother plant. My experiences and many others
