Things you wished you'd known before first grow

Is there no such thing as to much light no matter how cool it is over your plants?
It can cause bleaching, this is when too much light is used this tend's to bleach the leave's.Put a photo' in your grow room on the wall and have a look at it after a while,i don't think that its a problem of can you use to much light the more light the better the plants will produce, has long has temps are ok,but it's a point of cost effective,

I'm lucky to live in a city that doesn't charge me an arm and a leg running lights... I'm currently running 5,000 watts and my bill is $88 for electricity... Idk how either

I had no idea the smell would be so strong...I live in a cabin and as you walked up to the door you could smell flowers in the yard...fedex guy came unexpectedly and I almost shit myself....

what I meant by it was that I was pulling roughly 400 cfm through two ac hoods with 400s in them in a space that was 20 inches by 5 ish feet with my lights at max.height tops were around .5-1.5 inches from the glass and it didnt feel overly hot to the hand test. also I didnt have a whole lot of circulation air in there either so that didnt help.

so yes it was new grower error and I have since built a much larger aeea for flower. but I thought thats what this thread was about...first grow error.

is it happening on all the leaves or just the tops

after 4 weeks of flowering have the lights higher than early during flowering or veg,Once the 4 week stretch has finished,if the temps are fine it may be wind burn that is causing the leaf canoeing
You should smell the shit i have going at the minute the smell is so strong it hurts your eyes

Shit that is cheap has chips juice wise £5.00 full house ,£2.50 to run two 600 hps in the uk,i do not advocate the stealing of electric and its the difference between jail or freedom.

Haha! Yes do not steal electricity! And it is dirt cheap it's actually weird to me. Anyway. Here is a pic of how close these ladies are from my light.

I find these mj plants like luxury too just like us growers some people love cold weather some like hotter weather. Research your strain and where it originated from and get the growing conditions down for that strain
Edit: also to those who have a few grows under their belts... Do trichomes become really sticky at first than as they mature they are not a sticky when you touch the leaves around it? My buds use to be so sticky! Now the trichomes are just their and they aren't sticky

Don't get paranoid if nobody knows. I pulled up a bunch of seedlings in 68' when I got out of jail. I could have finished them but I was traumatized from the incarceration. I never tried growing again until after 2006 when I got a MMJ card.
