Think she’s ready?

Breeders suggest: 8 weeks
Going for: 10 weeks 4 days
Strain: Devil Cream Auto by SweetSeeds

Buds have swollen up the past 2-3 weeks. There are still a lot of white hairs down below where all the fluffy stuff is. As far as the middle and top buds go, there’s a white hair here and there but not very many.
Most orange/brown hairs have retracted back and the leaves are pointing up and are swollen.

I already cut the main cola two days ago as it looked ripe with only a couple white hairs growing out of it.

Should I cut the tops/middle or just let her go a bit longer?

I harvest by trichomes. I use one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope-x/dp/B00LAX52IQ?th=1

I prefer about 50% cloudy, sort of an up high. If you take them full cloudy and amber you get much more of a couchlock. My experience only.

I looked through a loupe that wasn’t that great I had and I’d say it was 80/20 milky/clear with some ambers. I think ima chop the tops tomorrow and let the bottom ripen up another 5 days or so. Just wanted a few more opinions first before I did anything. I have the same one you do lol. I hate that thing.

I'm surprised you don't like your Carson. I have zero problems with mine and what I get is a clear view of the trichomes. This is the second one I've had. Your plants look good.

Thanks they smell good too. Think I’m going to go ahead and clip off the main top buds today. Let the rest ride a bit longer. I just prefer a usb one that I can look at on the screen. Vs using any type of Loupe or hand held microscope.

I had one of these, worst thing I ever used. All it did was drain batteries.

I hate that thing too, I can't see shit out of it.

I'm not really seeing the white hairs so they look pretty done to me. They look pretty nice too.

Thanks man yeah I actually chopped the entire plant down today. About 1/5 of the very bottom where are the “popcorn” stuff was with no real bud content to it, mainly leaves with trichomes on them still had white hairs. But even if the plant sat another week there was nothing to the “buds” themselves, the hairs would of just turned orange and no real weight would of been added to it. I’m pretty sure it swollen up as much as it could. Which I’m just going to use the popcorn for butter/bh with my trim. Other than that the other 4/5 of the plant as far as the tops and mids were done for sure. Barley any white hairs and trichomes were a shit ton on milky, I’d say 20% clear with maybe 10% amber.
