I just got a 400 Watt HPS from HTG, upgraded from a 150 watt HPS.

Looking at the price points the 250 is only $2 less than the 400 watt HPS. trust me the extra 150 watts makes a big difference and is well worth the extra $2:idea:.

I grabbed the euro reflector and run an inline fan to cool the light. Its great. Best investment Ive made in years.

If you think about a 400 might as well get a 600 instead. Almost twice the lumens. I got mine at htg for $218 including shipping.

600 watt is a pretty big difference in power consumption..

I currently run a 150 watt HPS and around 225 watss of cfl.....

About how much more per month would a 400 watt run me?

I plan to build me a 6' x 4' x 6' tent for this comin winter and wanted to toss a 400 watt in the mix.

if you go with the digital ballast system there is no worries on or around wood. no relative heat from that. and with an adequate fan blowin across your lamp heat is no bigy. im about to get the 400 watt hps/mh digital ballast system. staying compact is the way.
