Thinking about Growing for the first time

I want to grow, I've been thinking about it for a few years but never got the perfect place for it. I've researched how to grow for years and years and I feel that I could be alright at it, I mean I've picked up knowledge for growing and it's kind of a waste. But I can't really say I have knowledge about growing until I've actually gone through the process. I mean I've grown a few times but in the worst case scenarios possible and never got past the start of the veg stage. But now I finally may have a place to grow, and a homie of mine who has grown a few times is gonna help me out and teach me. I need to help build either a grow box or a tent first, I have a small room with a decent size closet, and the seeds or clone won't be a problem because I have steady access to both but if they're seeds they're bagseed, but if they're clones, they're a bomb ass medical strain. I'm hoping to hear something from some growers out there who can help a noob such as myself.

Its in the roommate's room. He has access to dank ass seeds. Hoping to get lights set up, then I'll pop some seeds.

look around in the design and setup forum, they got some good ideas.

Depending on where your at your very freedom and everything else is also in the hands of your buddy. Most growers want to be in total control of their own destiny. I know you probably trust him and he's your bro and all but the lilihood of info about your grow is doubled right from the get-go.
I started a couple of years ago and it was just my best friend and my niece were the only 2 people on the planet that knew, and it became a problem. My buddy talked about his own grow to other people and my neice showed up with her hand out and empty bowl every few days.
I had to tell both of them that I decided to give it up. When I started up the next run, it was just me and I could sleep at night. You might want to really give that some consideration.

Every person that knows ups your chances of getting caught by 10%. Just be careful man. Its no joke.

Not sure it's a good idea to have someone else in on your grow, even if it's a friend, as many have said in this thread, as the saying goes, "lose lips sink ships" it's been proven many times in this forum.
