Thinking about ordering these cup winners from Attitude

I have been taking some time looking through the cup winners on attitude, and have decided on these strains because of THC %, high yield, good smells/taste from smoke reports. If there are many known problems with these strains let me know, and I want first hand experience with these strains, not the breeders in general.

____________________________yield m^2---- THC ---- CBD ---- Flower time
Barney's Farm Red Dragon ___)___500 _____ 23% ____ ? ____ 9 weeks

Cali Connection 818 Headband ___ 800 _____ 22% ___ 0.2%?? _9 weeks

Dinafem Original Amnesia _______1000 _____ 22% ___ Low ___ 10 weeks

DNA Holy Grail Kush ___________500-650 ___ 20%+ ___ ?? ____ 9 weeks

Sweet Seeds Black Jack ________600 _____ 16-21% ____ ? ___ 9 weeks

If anyone has any strains that they know are better than these let me know I am looking for:
THC > 20%
Yield around 600 m^2
It should also be very tasty and smell awesome :D

I would also like to know if there is a low chance of getting a good phenotype from just 2-5 seeds, I would like to clone the best of each strain and keep it going. Which strains of these are the most stable? in other words.

List your all time favorite strain grown.

if you're after high cbd, check out cannatonic from resin seeds, she's pretty much the go to seed based, high cbd strain out there imo..
also check out plants like z7 from the cbd crew..

Idk, I chased cup winners when I first started and was disappointed. I'd also say as a general rule, yields and THC levels posted on bean sites are not always accurate (never found yield to be close at all, but that'd just my limited experience), and to remember every bean is different.
completely agree tonight.. yield and thc % numbers are two things i never look at when i'm looking to order new beans.. i'd rather start a thread on here, or read over grow / smoke reports to get first hand info on something i'm interested in..
breeders have every reason in the world to lie about those numbers imvho..

I'll tell you what (imagine Hank Hills voice), I've learned more about breeders on this board and another than I ever would from High (advertising) Times, any other rag, or pretty Internet pictures on seedbanks. Honestly nothing is better than your peers/fellow growers reporting back on how a grow went, and how the results are.

This isn't my time buying seeds. I've been looking through a lot of the different cup winners and other popular strains I have seen looking at grows in forums and videos.

The strains I have listed all have really good grows documented, I don't have them bookmarked but it wasn't hard to find the grows.

Barneys? Really? Well you asked for advice, I'd probably try OA, out of everything you had there if those were my only choices.

the headband is def. the best choice of all those the ONLY luck ive had with barneys is the blue cheese. every single strain ive ever tried from DNA / Reserva Privada and Cali Connection has been dank as FUCK.Just tried G13 pineapple express wasnt that impressed. kosher kush, og #18 and holy grail (kosher x #18) are all seriousness, 18 yields great all 3 have won multiple cups. you can check out my sour tangie grow here

I was VERY impressed with this one as you can see its bomb.com
I have experience with the original amnesia by dinafem and it yields great, but I stopped doing it because it wasnt "DAMN that shit stinks and tastes GREAT" the flavor/smell was OK maybe I could have dialed it in a little more but I didnt consider it a keeper. now their sweet deep grapefruit is really nice very unique smell/flavor
kens GDP was pretty good, HSO blue dream is pretty good and yields big
PS ive ordered single seeds from attitude and usually they are bomb, a couple times I obviously got a bad pheno but your chances of getting a good one are high.

most recent purchases have been grape ox, sour grapes, grape krush, purple og18, holy grail kush, strawberry banana, purple wreck dinafems strawberry amnesia soma lavender and mango.... have yet to try them

barney's farm, along with green house seed company, don't have the best of reps out of all breeders out there, at least on this forum.. barney's seem to be a bit hit or miss imvho.. when you find something good, it will be good, but how many beans did it take for you to find that one good plant is the true question..
the same can hold true for any strain that won a cup.. how many seeds will it take the average grower to germ before they themselves find that keeper, cup winning pheno?? 20, 50, 100, more?? this is where the problem arises. sure, if you get lucky, you might find that cup winning pheno, but if you don't, you might have to dig through a heap of shit until you do, if you ever even do for that matter..
i could go on and on, but i'll shut up now..

When shopping, I'm interested in low yield reports. The very few breeders that I've seen give a heads up on low yield is a breeder I'm ready to trust on other claims. Space Bomb [ TGA ] is a good example. Great smoke in every way, but I want more than a handfull of joints for a 3 month time investment - it's not that good.

No offense intended, I'm sure, amigo, it's just a natural assumption to make that a list w/ those choices would be a new grower. Most all of us know some of those companies suck first hand because we bought in to the hype when were were newbies.

I ran a freebie of OA 'bout a year ago. 9 weeks, nice yield, easy grow, and fairly potent. I'd do another if I had it.

I've grown the G13 Pineapple express I thought it turned out pretty well, I have almost grown the OG #18, but my water pump died when it was about halfway through flower, I was out of the country for 2 weeks did make for around 10 grams of good hash. The sweet deep grapefruit I grew a couple years back I remember the smell was amazing on that. Each grow I have done besides the last 3 which have been bad due to time away at the wrong time in the plants life have been getting better. I've got a real set up now 785w in LED in a 4x4 tent with DWC, and I have dialed it in this last grow.

I've seen that Blue cheese seems to be the only one good from Barney's, wasn't sure if anything changed in 2014.

Your sour tangie looks amazing btw!

I posted here because most of what I had read about Barney's wasn't too recent, as in last year and before.

Just a side note, but if only the newbies are growing Barney's, then couldn't the bad feedback on the seeds be from inexperience and lack of knowledge? I know you have to get lucky to get a good phenotype but most of the bad reports I see are from people only growing one seed, I'm not saying all reports.

Is tonic better than Royal Queen's med strains? I only started looking at this type yesterday and RQ claims 10% and 11% CBD but I doubt it.
BTW the strains are "Medical Mass" and "Euphoria"

That's a good question, but it's an easy answer. If a variety of plants were run and they all sucked, then likely it was the grower. Barneys and GHS - as racer pointed out - are the perennial whipping boys on RIU. Coincidentally, there are no PRO - GHS or Barneys threads I'm aware of. The near universal disdain of those companies by growers far better than me is really all you need, I'd think. Either way....ya still never know unless you try. I'd just rather avoid proving naysayers right given the choice. Good luck.
