Thirsty Plants?? Normal DWC

Hey all... So I have 2 plants growing in a 10 gal tote, bubbleponics. The girls (I hope) are about 5 weeks old and doing awesome. The 10 gallon tote is at the correct level with about 6.5 gallons of H20 & Nutes. Like I said... the plants are doing great... very bushy... main stem is as thick as my thumb... and i have big fingers. They are sucking down about 1/2 to 3/4 gal. of H20 a day!! Is this normal?? I have been topping the res off with a gallon of H20 when needed. Do I need to add any additional nutes? I did add additional CalMag because I have a persistant rust spotting on my big fan leaves. Thanks!

Yep, that sounds about right for two plants.

As far as adding nutes, if you change the rez water every 7 days, then adding pH balanced water will be fine(that's how I do it). I use a ppm meter and I've found that I don't need to add any additional nutes between rez changes.

Other growers may add nutes while topping of the water and I'm sure they'll share their thoughts.

Your plants look great. Nice color and leaf development.

Best to you!!

Thanks for the reply... My PPM meter should show up today... Ive been waiting 2 weeks now. I should post some new pics... my plants are monsters now. I just clipped 4 clones last night. Crossing my fingers. I clipped my first clones ever last week and they look like crap. I hope these work out better.

You're welcome bro!

Growing indoors via hydro is a blast. Tons to learn and with great returns!!
