This a bad idea for drying?

So I just harvested my 2nd plant of this cycle, 1st plant had been cut the day before.
Trying to get a handle on the right environment in my place for drying. Since the AC does the most service in the bathrooms I decided to hang em there.
I’m keeping an eye on temps and RH to maintain a 60ish range, but do you think them hanging a few feet away from an AC floor vent is going to dry em too quickly?
I set up a cardboard box to try and block some of the immediate air they may get.
What do you say, yay or nay?

not blowing directly on the drying buds
Curious as to why a fan should not be directed on the buds, not trying to be a smartass, but I have done that in the past with OK results. Perhaps better results if I had done it differently.
Thanks

I know you want a dry to take as long as possible, I think around 12-14 days is ideal. When you have a fan blowing directly on them they dry out quicker. I don’t think it would render a harvest unsmokable, but likely better if dried slower

Thanks for your answer and it makes since, also, I read just a few days ago someone else said just about the same thing about the 12 - 14 days drying.

12-14 days is nice to aim for, but you absolutely do not want to over dry your buds. So how long it takes depends on the size and density of your buds and environment (temperature, humity, airflow). The goal is to get it dry enough to start the cure process.

I would start with measuring temp and humidity. Absolutely no circulation on the plants themselves, the space they are in is large. You want and hope to sustain a humidity in the 60s easily otherwise it will dry too fast imo. If temps in the 60s and rh in the 60s, you are golden for a great dry.

dry them like that till they start to feel pretty crunchy on the outside, but still "marshmallowy" inside, then i like to put them in a paper bag for a few days, close it up till they start to feel soft again, then open it for a couple of hours. after another day or two of that, i put it in jars, and burp them (open them up and dump them out for half an hour, 45 minute) at least 3 times a day till they start to feel right, then i go to burping once a day for a few days, then i just leave them alone for at least a couple of weeks, maybe opening them every 3 days or so just to check on the smell and feel.
