What you're describing sounds more like a poltergeist. These type of hauntings normally don't last more than a few months. Get a good digital recorder and try get some EVP. I would try to ignore as much of it as possible, if it gets out of hand try yelling at it to get the fuck out.

I think attempting to get EVPs would be worse. Yeah, it's cool proof but you're attempting to communicate. They may take that as an invitation. Cleanse the house and tell it to leave.

I'm with Rambler, I was just told about the sage recently, it's supposed to really work. As for the old lady, I haven't found any trails of depends underwear or discarded prunejuice containers leading to and from the attic so I'm gonna rule her out.

Johnny Retro: Regardless of mentioning it to me it woulda been right in my face, it's not minor stuff, but i get your reference to psychosematism.

As for contacting a society, I'm going to wait on that one, we'll see. I will keep this thread updated as this shit continues. Time to get a recorder up there.

The house we are in now, my wife swears has spirits.... but then again, it's her family that lived here. I get the feeling sometimes as well, though not as much as her.... but I just talk to them as the family they are when I get weirded out by something.

As for your issue, my opinion is if the dog isn't worried about it, you probably shouldnt be either. Animals sense alot of things that we have no clue of.

Yeah I feel the same. Even my girlfriend says it's not a bad feeling, like the ghost(s) not bad or malevolent. It's pretty soft in aura or presence. It's early in our experience here so time will tell. Maybe I will have to post a couple pics of the upstairs attic area at night hmm?

Here's a pic of the sage I went and got. I will burn it soon enough. I was told I have to say a bunch of shit while spreading the smoke to every nook and cranny of this house, stuff like, " You must move on now and leave this house. It's time for you to go this is our house now, go, leave... " I feel kinda crazy here but I definitely know something is going on in this house.

On second thought, after realizing it's the Winter Solstice, a full moon AND an eclipse...yeah, tonight's definitely a good night for the ritual.
