This is exactly why you do not accept clones from other people

Be careful who you get your seeds from as well. I got some from a price breeder that was highly recommended. Most did alright. But one particular strain grew WPM in the 3rd week of veg. Yet it was meant to be strongly resistant to molds. I chopped and tossed it, washed up, changed my shirt, and thoroughly inspected the other two strains. They where fine, so I wiped the tent with a sterilizing cleaner and let things carry on. The other two plants and clones I took are going strong two months later, no signs of WPM. Lessons we learn the hard ways....

Exactly what I just did to kill my mutant gnats that wouldn’t die.

Yup and this:
.

Essentially the truth is no one, no matter how good, can avoid something hitting them. All you can do is do your best and soldier on and burn a table once in awhile, sigh.

Those look like fungus gnats, but yeah for mites and gnats, I use Sevindust. I don't use it during flower obviously. It's kickass on mites.

A Japanese maple from the nursery infested my whole grow with mites. $5 worth of Sevindust cleared it up in a couple days.

I also recommend yellow sticky mats for gnats, they bee-line for the yellow.
Fungus gnats are basically benign. It's the fungus you gotta worry about.

I poof Sevindust all over them like old timey prison movies when they delouse you, and throw a handful of white powder at your face.
***I actually "poof" it on, it's a very light coat. I don't SHAKE it on.... I poof it on.. right at the new growth areas.

Carbaryl is arguably safe during veg, I wouldn't wanna smoke anything that's been near carbaryl in the last 60 days. Supposedly it has a half life of 4 days in water and or daylight, 60 days in dry open air.
Not a neurotoxin to my knowledge, but more of a lung issue. Be careful with pesticides.
^^on a positive note, Sevindust is way less stressful than a Neem foliar spray in my experience, also it's not taken up into the plant.

Don't 100% blame your new clone. Sometimes your workplace or home is the real source of infestation. A couple years ago my favorite frisbee course smelled musty all year.... Since I was having bud rot, I decided to not play frisbee for a whole year.

^^If your next door neighbor has unhealthy rose bushes, their mites could be killing your grow.
I don't miss growing in a moldy old house surrounded by woods. I used to bleach it floor to ceiling about every two weeks... With a fucking tank sprayer and goggles.

Thrips in the U.K. are western flower thrips and they are brown/tan in colour when adults.

creamy yellow when in their 1st and 2nd Instar

Granted springtails in the U.K. are white when jouvenile but the adults turn to a dark grey/tan colour.

Eggs that look exactly like spider mite eggs were present allover the most damaged leaves prior to treatment which is what prompted the spraying with forbid. I scoped them with a 100x microscope and they were most certainly not fungust gnats. Nasty little motherfuckers almost looked like a flea. I don't have pets and my home is as clean as anyone can keep one. The source of the bugs could very well be myself. I work in the garden a lot. All it takes is one or two and they take hold quickly when the grower isn't running IPM on a routine. I wasn't which was operator error. I'll be doing a thorough IPM regimen moving forward. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

So you just basically coat the leaves with sevindust? It seems like these pests are populating and breeding on the bottom of my leaves. Would sevindust be effective against such a pest?
