NO!! That is a huge misconception. I never said anything about yellowing leaves being a good sign of readiness. As far as Im concerened, yellowing is a sign a nutrient deficency.

I said the hairs have all died and curled up. They are not long and white anymore.

Same bonehead question.Get a micro-scope and know the answer..All trichs at least cloudy.If you don't want couchlock,let few, or none of the trichs go amber. All cloudy is the peak of THC production.

Okay, so here are a couple pics of some of my buds. . . as promised last night. Do you think they look done yet? I have a scope but I am new at this to an extent so I'd just like some extra opinions. I won't hold anyone to their word on it!

^^^^^ Looks nice and healthy. In my opinion they could go for a little while longer. They still look "loose" and "airy." It shouldnt be much longer. Good job

What constitues loose and airy anyway. I was trying to find pics to compare them to the other day and I couldn't find anything on google.

If you have any pics of "loose" and "airy" buds, or nice "tight" buds, could you post them so I can see the difference?

I thought I was doing so much better with this grow too.

Ive attatched two pictures for you. pic 1 is not ready. pic 2 is ready. I would say you are in between the two pictures.

heres what happens. those lil hairs form the calyx. the calyx will then swell, the hairs will turn color (white to orange for example) and the hair will recess back in towards the ripe bud

many do not wait for the process to finish, and are tooo busy watchin trichs with their scopes

OK here's an update 12 days down the road. High winds split the main trunk and it was laying on the ground for a while. I tied it back together with some strips of t-shirt material and a post. Seems to be doing ok. This is day 70 on Northern Lights grown outdoors. It's taller than I thought she would get and going longer too? Oh forgot to scream "is it done yet!"

They look great, but not done. Take pictures in another 2 weeks.

Daaaaammmmn, two more weeks. That makes me nervous. I'm at the top of zone 7 and weather and the split trunk are a factor. Noticed in two days many of the fan leaves are yellowing and falling off. Upon closer inspection of calyx i found a rouge maure seed at the lower reaches of one colla. A good looking seed to boot. Bizarre. Don't see any others. Saved the seed. Wonder if it is fertile? I'll find out. Any other opines?

I'd say that has a ways to go. I don't see any crystals on it yet but it's hard to tell. I'm stoned and my eyes are tired so I just can't see 'em. But it looks like it has at least a couple weeks more to me.

DAYUM!!! Those are some pretty nice looking plants man, looks like your getting close to harvest. Just remember the last weeks is when the plants start packing on weight like a pregnant lady. Smoke one for me bud
