Yes, completely. But not to the point if ignoring factual information, no matter how irregular it is.. due to contempt. Fact before feelings.
Tommy might well be a vile racist cunt. Even if he is, that does not change the facts that he brought to light. If he is such a man then yes, you would not invite him round for lunch, but as an official figure or police officer.. you would look into and do something about the crimes he was reporting to you. They were warned about the growing radicalization yet ignored it due to the feared racial political mine field. Yeah peoples feelings were saved short term, many lives were lost and will continue to be lost long term.. on top of the countless children who would not have gotten drugs pushed onto them prio to being raped. That does not mean white men don't do the same crimes above.. but the point is that even in worse case (tommy is a cunt) the racial political minefield allowed those crimes to go on... where they most likely (you'd hope) would not have if it were not a minority group.
