Minimum wage has absolutely nothing to do with what people spend their money on. People are entitled to save their money and buy whatever they want, generally fully aware of the opportunity cost.

I think you can bootstrap your family's success over a couple of generations. It happens all the time, especially with Immigrants.
But, you are trained from birth to define success, as having work that you can throw the maximum hours, at it. Often a small business.
Millionaire is not my success criteria, it is just something that happened. Get into something that you can submerge your total effort over decades. Then you too, can have success in America.
Talk like a hick? I did. Sell. Learn to talk or don't eat. That's how I did it. If you learn business English, in the USA, you can be successful.
But, we don't like other cultures and the lingo, accents, etc. If you can't fit in, how can you succeed?
There are a lot of broken counter cultures here, beyond the Hippies, that have strange, self imposed, limitations.

I would say a great number of Americans lack faith in themselves due in large part to our liberal education system that teaches them to look to government for a solution to every problem. They are not taught to be self sufficient because that does not suit the goals of the Democratic party. We have spent trillions of dollars in a war on poverty that has succeeded in making millions upon millions of people completely dependent upon the government for their existence. This was not done by accident.
So, they pacify the masses with food stamps and welfare checks and promises of cheaper universal healthcare while causing the very misery they pretend to end.

I'm saying if you make minimum wage, then clearly you have less degrees of freedom than someone raking in 70k annually.
Sure buy whatever brand you want, but take care of your rent, groceries and child before you start trying to emulate celiberaties who will never relate to you lol.
You can buy beatz, no sweat off my taunt ballsack. But when you buy beatz, only eat fast food, and have a 72inch tv and then you want gov assistance for housing, you can eat shit. Priorities.
