Yeah, RHCP were/are great. The Dead will always hold a special place in my heart, but I've moved on to different feels. I really like chillout, downtempo stuff like Tycho and Bonobo. That Tides album I posted is the epitome of the music I find captivating. I know what you mean about a 30 year old vinyl sounding crappy... I love my vinyl just the same though. I have that Tides album on vinyl, and it's pretty magical. Anything with strings really tugs at the feels and emotions.

That being said, I'm still hopelessly addicted to the The Phish from Vermont.

I saw phish for $2 in Fort Collins, maybe 1990.
In 1992(?) during "Big Fat Furry Creatures From Mars" at the Boulder Theater Trey kicked over my beer and I thought, "This song is stupid and I think Trey did that on purpose." Then Trey looked right at me and laughed.

It was a bomber too.

im 22 and i understand there is alot of bullshit out there. but why hate on a generation? my parents listened to country music when i was growwin up and when i got to pick music i went straight to classic rock. if someone finds meaning in miley cyrus or adelle well then good for them, but just cause i dont like it doesnt mean i think they lack the ability to know what is good. music you hear in certain environments can make you appreciate them for the feelin they bring back to you when listened to. pls stop hatin on us and just post great music on here for us to enjoy. im sure we will be appreciative of what u offer than to dis your taste in music

Never knew you liked a World Music sound. I listen to shit tons of middle east music but figured that wasn't relevant to this thread. Liked the second link you posted (Franz)

*and vinyl is overrated IMO but I DID live my Zeppelins when they were records. Knew where every skip, pop, crack and thump was. Man I went through more zeppelin records than any other band in my collection. Just wore 'em out
