:( This is my 3rd outdoor grow. I have never seen but rot, but have been super paranoid about it for years. Well. the top of my tallest LemonG it looked darker as I was inspecting this morning. I keep these plants on a second story deck and they are about 4.5 ft. tall. As I examined and pulled all the dead matter out I found the first of 7 caterpillars. I did a through search both this morning and after work. So I think, there are lots of colas to search through.

Im in my 6-7th week of flowering, Im sooo clueless and worried about what I can/should do. I fertilized yesterday morning :( I put the hose in each planter for about a minute each this morning to try and flush it out after finding the first 5. Please help. Im a mess. Should I bring them inside in front of a window?

Im making the Caterpillarz suffer.

Thanks for your reply, just wondered...Is that safe for the buds?? Will it affect the taste?

Here's what you do, the only way to drive them from your plants is one of two ways without poisoning yourself.

1...Mix up some garlic spray and spray the buds, the caterpillars will run. Downfall is a slight odd taste in bud.
2...Pick them babies out by hand and TARP YOUR PLANT. They mainly come in from the air, especially if your top cola got it. heres a pick of on I found today on my Hindu Skunk

OMG! those little green bastards. If Im understanding this correctly, I put garlic powder? in water shake it up and spray the buds? then put plastic bag over them? Im sorry, a little stoned.

I have a White Widow, Two LemonG girls and a Strawberry Cough. Will it hurt any of my tomatos or other veggies?

If you find the 100% garlic cubes found in the mexican sections, those work nice I hear. As mix I dont know, I dont use it for the chance of taste. I just grew in an open area with no Oak trees over head. Watch for leaves laying in your colas, chances are a small inchworm size worm came down from the tree with it. Tarping my last years saved me from losing much more. This year that one I posted was the only one found so far. Rem.. silky webs falling from sky are the caterpillars, follow it and inspect carefully. Just after the sun comes up and just before it goes down is when I notice them.

Found 2 more this morning, right after sun up. I'm think I'm going to try Spinosad, I don't want to risk ruining the taste with garlic I guess. Thanks for the replies guys. There are no oak trees nearby, nothing over my girls but sunlight. I guess i will just pick thru all of the buds again after work.

I sprayed spinosad saturday night and havent found any evidence of new cats it will not harm your buds or leave any sticky residue behind it really doesnt smell like anything so i recommend this before i would use bt as from what i know of bt its a little stronger than spinosad but does leave a nasty smell which you might taste in your buds at harvest.

Thanks guys I <3 this place. I'm running down some Spinosad today, and stay tonight what about the tarp tho? Do I cover all my plants with it and tie it at the bottom? I saw a bunch of moths on the one plant a few weeks ago and thought it was strange, didn't notice damage then and thought nothing of it.

i would be a little worried about the tarp depending on where u live you dont want to trap any moisture that may cause mildew. last saturday i sprayed spinosad a couple hours before the sunlight went down but make sure your plants arent directly in the sun when u spray. i havent tarped mine and i havent even seen a moth since or no new signs of cats. when i learn more on how to post pics on this i will send a couple of pics of my girls. oh and i wouldnt use garlic either unless you want garlic herb tasting bud. lol
