You got that in writing somewhere?
The woman is an ignoramus. She has no real experience. She was governor of a state with a population smalled than a lot of US cities. Her agenda (From being prolife to anti-legalization) is ignorant. I can't think of any greater evil than governing ignorance.

I watched that shooters 5 videos he had posted on youtube (user name: classitup10) and he is definitely not mentally stable from what I could tell. The stuff he posted was all kinds of paranoid anti-government, anti-establishment weirdo crap that didn't even make sense. =/

I won't take the aggressive attitude that you did.

I said homelessness increased and it did. Was I wrong. And I meant that the mentally ill have a good number of people that have visions and are violent.
Anyone can be homeless we all know that.

I used to delivered food to inner-city Detroit to restaurants, grocery store, party stores and what was left over was dropped off to the Salvation Army, COTS and misc. places. Our shop was in Eastern Market, a very safe place for them. So yes, i have seen my share of the homeless and mentally ill. When you have a gun shoved in your face and the person doing it isn't all there... Yeah, I know of what I speak of. It is the reason I quit and it's a my families business. I carry a gun in Detroit for a reason.

You wrote, 'Who defines what a mentally ill person is? Because their views or actions don't coincide with yours? Better yet societies? Who are you to judge who is worthy of living their life?' The doctors define who is mentall ill. Someone's views have nothing to do with it and you know it, this is not the 1800's. It's not for me or you to decide who is too mentall ill and dangerous for society, it is the courts and the doctors. If they had been able to insitutionalize the man that raped my niece...Yeah I do know what I speak of.

And where did I say exterminate anyone?

Do you know that people can have a difference of opinion without being confrontational??? I said, my opinion was not PC, so get off my back.

Edit-my step-nephew thinks God speaks to him. He isn't violent but he does get a little weird without his meds.

Dumbest post in RIU history, congrats! I mean seriously, you just said "a good number" of homeless people are mental cases that are violent and they are homeless because they are mentally ill.... Do you personally know a good number of homeless people and all of their stories? That's like saying "a good number" of potheads are losers, so if we exterminate all the potheads losers will cease to exist. Who defines what a loser is? Who defines what a mentally ill person is? Because their views or actions don't coincide with yours? Better yet societies? Who are you to judge who is worthy of living their life?

Now I don't agree with this individuals actions, but I am smart enough to know I don't know his true motive nor does the media. The only one who could answer this would be the gunman himself, the rest is just pure speculation.

A nine year old little girl was shot and killed. I don't really find anything funny about that. Besides all six of the people murdered were just regular people could have easily been anyone here or one of your family members that was killed.

This isn't funny. I condemn this guys actions as a sane person as everyone who is sane should.

i think the guy was just trying to say that the mental health system is failing everyone. "normal" drug ads for prozac for you and all your neighbors and the like have numbed us to true mental illness and the havoc it wreaks on us all. there are people who are really sick and they don't have the services they need, they can't or refuse to take their meds, and a lot of them do in fact end up on our streets. but unlike plain ol' homeless people the mentally ill actually could present a danger to themselves or the rest of society whether or not they have someplace to live. it's like it's never serious until there's an "incident". even the ones with past criminal records don't always get the care they need. i think the whole thing is bullshit and the weed is a pathetic attempt at a scapegoat.
