I had a high question.....I have 5 small 18" and 1 tall 36" plant in my 7'w x 7'h x 6'L room with a 1000w light and 24sq" vented hood. I want to move my plants closer to the light they are about 24" away now but am afraid to lose the light footprint is this the right thinking? Also has anyone experimented with music and production or healthiness of marijuana?

The light should gradually be lowered every day by an inch or two until you are down to 4-6" away from the plants. What is your current temperature in the grow room? It sounds like you have a good setup. 24" is quite a long ways away and will lead to stretching if you don't start moving it closer.

Temps are ok thanks to the cooled hood, I'm just concerned that the lower it goes the less light the outer plants will get.being shaded by the sides of the hood.
