Thoughts on a 1600w 4x4 tent

I currently run 600w and a 1kw bloom tents but with work and wifes dr visits I dont have the time id like to spend with my girls.

I was thinking of grabing a growzilla hood and running just one tent but using 1k hps and 600w mh. I know its alot of watts in a small tent but I read that 100w per square foot is "optimal" and anymore is a waste. Just wondering what the riu community thinks, go for it or extreme overkill?

I run a ac and have a 500cfm fan dedicated to cooling lights so I dont see heat being a problem at all.

Yes too much light is possible I think its overkill for such a small space even more if heat is not an issue by just putting the light closer for more lumen. Also a waste of energy = money.

Thanks for the input. the plan was to sog but the mixed spectrum intrests me. I may try it and dim the 600 down to 300w. The growzilla hoods only 175 delivered from greners and if its too much I can find another use for it.

I think its a good idea. The growzilla is interesting but honestly i'm not sure about its light footprint. I would consider possibly getting a different reflector (I HTGs big kahuna) and installing a seperate mogul mount for a second bulb in it. bigger footpring. then again, you could hang the growzilla like 6 ft off the ground probably, grow 4-5 ft plants.

Oh you have a dimmer? Go for it then for both spectrum. True a good idea now. If your HPS also dim, you could hang the lights as high possible in the tent and never touch it again.
