Thoughts on controlling irrigation?

Just threw together a “drip” system for my DTW coco coir grow. Works great manually. I want to turn it on for 5 minutes, 5x daily. Too granular for a standard mechanical timer. Any thoughts on how to best control that? I see minute and second Timers on Amazon, and I have thoughts on using an RPi or Arduino. But are there options I’m missing?

I use an Arduino and relay board for mine...different system, but same timer needed...I can set it for seconds/minute to hours/day and any time frame I choose...I have it read the time period I want from an SD card so its easy to change and I don't have to keep re-writing the Arduino.
Also I like the fact that if something breaks I can replace the part, but with some timers you buy online they scratch off part numbers so you can't fix it and have to buy another one.

Just buy a $10 digital timer which are programmable to the minute up to 10-20 times a day.

Water them, then wait an hour and then time how long it takes to water till run off.

Probably only take 1-2min depending om size of pump.
