Just bought a regular 10 pack of each of these strains, im just going to keep them in the draw and try a couple every soft often.
Mekong haze is from cambodia and el dorado is from southern mexico i think, has anyone had experience with these strains or strains from the same area, thanks.

yes, both, i finished up mekong in february, it was very lanky, pure sativa. breeders description is they have buddies in that grow it for them and provide them with the seeds. the germination rate is pretty bad overall(leading to the low cost of the seeds) i had about 35 seeds and had less than 10 successfully germinate, from that 7 were males, 3 were females, 1 female was less stretchy and had stickier stems, hollowed stems so i kept her because it had the traits i wanted in a female, i grew her out for a difficult 15 1/2- 16 weeks, this strain can go another 2 if need be but i pollinated 75% of the plant with one of my favorite indica's to make some hybrid seeds. the bud i didn't pollinate came out tasting kinda spicy, fruity and definitely had an "Up" effect, colors are vivid and no paranoia just very easy going sativa, if you cmoke a little bit its great daytime smoke, if you smoke alot you WILL get anxiety/paranoia jitters and red eye as i had these effects after smoking a blunt. Mekong haze can turn purple, like a blackish dark purple, it has a ridiculous stretch, it went into flower at 1 foot and ended up near 6 feet after super cropping, tying down and if you plan to grow this out, id recommend flowering immediately after it shows it sex, and keep fimming the plantto stunt its upward growth and get it to bush out a bit more. Mekong is not a very smelly strain indoors even grown in soil, had not issues with insects/bugs(never do) and if it weren't such a PITA to grow with the 15-18 week flower times i'd probably give it another go because the smoke was fantastic. i smoked the very last bit i had while hiking almost 2 weeks back, excellent weed if you are tripping shrooms(i like to smoke when tripping). The el dorado i got for free from Nirvana almost 2 yrs back. it was feminized, grew fast, looked like it had some indica in it(compared to the mekong for sure) and had serated leafs, grew tall but not too tall, like 3x maybe 4x stretch at most, it grew big heavy cola's that were rather dense despite being a pure sativa, can't remember the smell or taste, definitely NOT the main attraction of this strain, the high is stellar, very fast onset and long lasting. El Dorado has the kind of high that starts out like any ordinary sativa and just keeps climbing, smoke too much and i can't sit still. takes around 13-14 weeks to flower, tiull that date it was the longest flowering plant i ever grew but it was worth it(got into trying more sativa genetics).

long story short- El dorado is the better of the 2 if you simply want to grow it indoors or outdoors outside of a tripical climate, its high is slightly more racy, the mekong is "trippier" since it has a more subtle effect, and when it hits you the colors and music you experience seem to be more vibrant and pop. Mekong takes around 16 weeks to flower but can go longer or slightly less if you prefer a racier high. El Dorado takes 13-14 week to flower, has better yield shorter flower time and less finicky, much prettier bud overall.

Also- Good luck, if you got 10 pack of the Eldorado i assume it was regular seeds, despite nirvana's shitty reputation on here, i've had good luck with them, i wouldn't mind pollen chucking with the el dorado, if you can get a really nice indica like blueberry that can pass on better flavor then the cross could be a stellar hybrid. this strain is underrated. i would definitely grow el-dorado again before i grow the mekong haze, but luckily i have some 2-3000 (Mekong x Super Crystal) fem seeds to see how it performs in a cross with a pure indica. true f1 is what i'm hoping for. When growing el dorado, give her alot of N as i remember it being a heavy feeder of fox farm's grow big.

Thanks for the reply bro, great info. I've read a couple of people saying that the seeds are difficult to germinate but for the price that doesnt bother me too much. The high was the main thing that attracted me to this strain, on the delta 9 website it is described as having a high that dances around your brain, so the long flowering time should be worth it. Eldorado is the one im looking forward to growing more it looks like the better plant all round, and I've only ever had good results with nirvana, grown blue mystic which was a great plant to grow and im currently growing there maui waui which is going good up to now, 9 out of 10 germed and there just in the first week of flower, i think it may just be there fem seeds which are bull. I'm planning on just putting these seeds straight on to 12/12, thanks again.

I've grown the blue mystic too, right around the time i grew the eldorado(same order) i think i had a smoke report up for the blue mystic somewhere. never had a hermaphrodite(full blown) from nirvana. i wanted to give maui waui a try but it seemed exactly like delta 9's sativa, very lanky, thin leaves and fluffy airy budds with around 15 week flower time. i strictly purchase their regular seeds and avoid their feminized renditions.

nice, I saw some photo's on En.seedfinder.eu about it and they looked like this, which is very similar to how the mekong looked(mekong is slightly more leafy)>03051181756514463_big.jpg03051111006674389_big.jpg

Wow, looks like one crazy sativa they seem to grow like a vine. Was the mekong a really light feeder in your experience?

overall no, not a glutton like the el dorado was, i fed it about as much as i feed most of my sativa's, a good ammount on N and ordinary amounts of p and k. i use Advanced nutes connoisseur a and b, big bud, overdrive. fox farms soil usually use ocean forest for my sativa leaning plants and happy frog for the indica.

if this interests you, it can help as it seems he has a similar phenotype of maui waui, >grow report of maui waui<

I've got nothing but love for Nirvana.

Eldorado rocks! I've had a few phenotypes take the full 12 week bloom, but a few finished in 9. Either way your patience will be rewarded!
