Thursday Night Chop Down!

So what have I missed? I think I stopped checking when you had a 'gap' in harvests.
What's the floorplan like? How is your schedule?
Did you decide to devote a space for TD?

yea, i hear ya dude. It does kind of work that easy... i pretty much do that now, i keep em in a small container till i'm ready for them to get bigger. it gets tough to feed nutes when the root mass is so dense. i end up foliar feeding the nutes sometimes.

not much man, i still have two TD's in flower.... i just took the first one of three out and put her in the dark till harvsest time. I'll keep growing her till/if I still like the smoke. in her place i started to flower my first BSB x CB!!!! I'm seeing hairs to... so she's a girl!!!

My beans arrived today YAY! I started to germ 2 pineapple chunks and 1 blue cheese. Wish me luck that they germ by tomorrow and sprout in a few days.

I think I have decided on the GLH 180watt LED. The spectrums are not adjustable but I think this would be perfect to supplement my 600watt HPS.

What would you say a 180watt LED is comparable to in other HID's like would be more like 150watt mh/hps or a 250watt mh/hps?

Will be chopping 3 TD's in 2 weeks and 9 more a week or two after that. I can't wait for my new beans to sprout. I have been doing clones so long lol I have had some trouble germinating the last few seeds of Ice I tried was a waste. I think I'll have better luck this time around as the seeds appear to be very fresh and I'm paying a bit more attention to these seeds.

Your going to love that TD bro. If you pop the other bean I hope it is the more indica pheno like I have with a flowering time of 70-75 days. I will be keeping a mom of this strain for a long time as I have no TD seeds and don't want to try finding this pheno again. I was complaining about my TD not being very dense before, I believe this is because I cut those first few early(trich's were about 80% cloudy 16% clear and 4% amber,

The ones still in flower now with about 20%amber trich's are starting to get dense can't wait to harvest them. All I have had is TD for months, I ran out of Ice about 2.5 months ago. I did smoke some Sour Diesel the other day with my cousin and I swear it somewhat tasted like my TD but the buzz was much more on the Indica side.

Keep it green bro let me know on the LED, do you think I should maybe go for more LED wattage?

From what Mike says 720 watts of LED should outperform a 600w HID. The way I interpreted that he is confident that his lights will compete watt for watt with HID. He doesn't make any crazy claims, he just answered the question as I address it to him. He told me I "should" notice improvements over a 600HPS with 4 x 180 LED. I must say, once they're in the tent and powered up the light intensity is quite impressive. Stoney is certainly putting out better and better buds as he's dialed in his tent and added more light! Its been cool watching him dial it in and I'm stoked to see more bulk to those buds.

How many watts are you up to in your tent now Stoney? I know you have a at least a pair of 180's and a UFO or two.

SWEET!!!! I'm glad you got the new beans already!!! they will germ just fine for ya!!!!! man, we will be TD choppin fools!! I have three in the next four weeks or so!!!

I really think a GLH panel would supp;iment your light perfectly. it would take your buds to that next level all together!!! huge buds at the best quality!!! the GLH panels you get now are the V3's like i am currently using the 180's are now the 150's and don't have any glass in the panels. they are bad ass!!!!! the 150 would do you right!! the only thing that makes it tough is the layout and what kind of coverage you get with them. maybe two GLH UFO's would work better. they are 100W each and you could put one on each side of the HPS.... that would be the bst scenario i could think of. but even the 150 would work great.... and if you are still unsure about any of it... i suggest you call mike at GLH and get his advice. this is the best way to feel his honesty and talking to him may get you free shipping!!!! his website is way behind and outdated. i must warn you, he is a busy guy!! call the number and leave a message if he doesn't pick up... it's just a generic voice mail to... no worries though, once you reach him and talk to him you will feel much better about making a decision i promise you that!!! he is a hell of a guy and he even checked out my thread!!!

please keep us posted on the sprouts!!!!!!!!!! and let me know if ya order an LED!!!!!! i'd be pumped to see that!!!

Mike is so modest about his numbers.... no bragging or exaggerations!!!! I know he told me once that the V1's and 2's are sooo bright that if one single 180 could be mounted at 4' high it would be enough light to grow a 4 x 4 area!!!! That's crazy!!!!!!

I am now running three V3 150's in my 4 x 4 area. I have a fourth panel but Mike told me that would not really be needed. so i only have 450W in flowering right now!! I'll use the other panel for my veg area!!!

you have the mac daddy set up right now!!!! I can't wait to see how great your setup grows!!!!!

Sum bitch do you think I have too much light in there? Mine is a 4 x 4 also and I'm running 4 x 180 in that hoss. These are either V1 or V2, not sure which or what the diff would be between them.

I 't know about now... with the two of them. if there are no signs of bleaching or burning when the start flowering ten i would add one, then wait another two weeks or so and add the third one. most of my issues showed up in 2 weeks or less some people went 3 weeks before any issues.

are your's pretty much just red and blue(V1) or do they have some orange and white mixed in?(v2)

what distance away is your screen?

I added 2 more lights so I'm now running 4 x 180 for a total of 720 watts. Its lights out right now but I would say its about 24-30" away-ish. They're going to stretch and I will bob and weave as much as I can during that period to fill the screen and keep the canopy low and consistent. I may have to raise the screen a bit though. I can modify the hanger system mike uses to gain some room but with the current hanger system the lights are as high as they will go. It would just take a little time to go through and shorten the wires on the lights. Its already filled about 10-15% more than that pic just in a couple days and some time spent moving shit around the screen. I will look at the lights, I want to say there is like 1 little orange light on one side of the light but I can't say for sure. I will put my shades on and look tonight when they kick on lol.

So please tell me if this is right....

if they are not showing any signs of stress at all i would leave the alone and roll with the punches!!! the second i saw one negative sign i would move them up as much as possible. looping the wire hanger through the mounting stud and back up to the ring will gain ya a few inches. but like i said, if they look happy then run with it!!!!!

V2 - Red and Blue with white and orange -yep wit a strong orange look.
V3 - Red and Blue with white and orange running at reduced wattage. - not so much orange in the V3's and yes, reduced wattage and the white diodes are 120 degree angle. and there is no glass in the panels.

here is a pic of V1,V2,and V3. starting with the left.... sorry the pic isn't that clear, it's the only one I have with all three versions...

I would venture to guess I'm running all V1's. I will try to figure out what you're saying about looping and do that since I don't think them being higher is going to hurt any lol. You rock Stoney thanks dude!

It looks like the V1's to me from the shade in the photos. here is what i mean by doubling up the cables.... it can give ya 7" more headroom!!!!

Planted one Pineapple Chunk and one Blue Cheese the other Pineapple Chunk seed hasn't cracked yet... Maybe tomorrow.

I'm going to call Mike at GLH and see what kind of deal I can get on 150 and the 2 UFO 100watters.

I'll compare prices for each and then decide what to do. I like the idea of doing 2 100watt LED's on each side of the 600w HPS. That would of been great to have doing this Tangerine Dream SOG grow. I did pull over an oz per plant so far with just the 600watt HPS but can't imagine how much more weight and resin could of packed on with some supplement LED. I notice your plants produce a lot of resin under the LED's. Always enjoy your frosty bud porn stoney!

What day are you going to chop your TD? I tried to catch up all I missed but if you said the chop day I missed it.
