Timbo's Grow Closet- Afghan Kush and Bag Seed

Hey RIU,

This is my first indoor grow and so far so good. I currently have four plants:
- 2x Indica dominant bag seed
- 1x Sativa dominant bag seed
- 1x World of Seeds feminized Afghan Kush

My basic setup includes:
- 9x 26watt, 2700k CFL's (daylight)
- 2x 8inch PC fans used for intake/ outtake
- 1x Desk fan (Added for air circulation)

All of this is in a grow space that measures, 2ft x 2ft and 4ft tall.

Originally my grow started on a 12/12 light cycle with my sativa bag seed, sometime near the begging of October. This plant was basically going to be my "bitch" plant that I would learn how to FIM and LST with. My FIM worked perfectly, and I have been continuously tying the plant down. Unfortunately, around week 3 I miss sexed my plant, (showed Male, now shows female) and began turning it into a bonsai type plant. I also switched to a vegetative, 18/6 light cycle at this point.

You can notice where I FIM'd at the bottom of the pic

My two indica plants have been growing well. They are at about 4 weeks of growth with only 2 days in between plants.

I have recently acquired this feminized Afghan Kush from a friend, and I think shes about 6 weeks old. She was on a 24hr veg cycle and wasn't previously trained. I let the stem thicken up for a weekend and then tied her down and trimmed her up a bit.

I expect to keep all plants vegging until the first or second week of January. I will continue LST'ing until the plants stop stretching.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Timbo

Looking really good. Hows the 12/12 cycle treating you? I have very low space as far as height so Ill be using LST again (which worked freakin awesome on the last girl that was on just regular 18/6 cycle to 12/12).

Cant wait to see more. Good luck

Everything is still going excellent. I've been running on a 18/6 cycle for over a week now. All plants began on a 12/12 cycle, but were changed to veg a few days before I received my afghan kush (A week ago tomorrow).

All plants shot up over the last light cycle, especially the smaller indica, which I began LST'ing today. I also tied the afghan kush down a little bit more. She is growing so fast.

I'll add recent pictures as soon as I can.

Timbo.

Here is a bit of an update..
I decided to start flowering/ sexing my plants Monday,(I know the bonsai and the afghan kush are females) so I switched over to a 12/12 light cycle.

I know have 222watts of light. (166watts of 2700K, 56watts of 6500K)

All plants seem to be growing well except the Fim'd indica. Its beginning to go a little yellow. Not to sure why.

Every couple days, I continue to tie the bonsai and the Afghan Kush down more.
I am planning on making a screen for my afghan. I have a net material with 1inch gaps, but I am not sure if I should find something bigger. <---- Advice?

All pictures were taken on Monday.

I began training the activia cup indica. I believe its called "lollipopping," but basically I have cut some fan leaves off and I'm letting the plant grow straight up.

I also have two clones(hopefully) rooting. I started them in packaged root hormone that my buddy brought me. I will get pictures of the cuttings and the "cutting cube" that I started them in the next update.

Haven't been able to find a camera for a bit now, but I thought I'd do an update anyway.

It is now week 3 into flowering for the Afghan Kush and the Bonsai plants.
I added a screen to the afghan kush 2 weeks ago, and I have been trying to space out the plant evenly. Bud development is excellent and hopefully I will have some nice colas.

The two bag seed indicas have both showed female sex and have been topped and tied down more. This is their first week of flower.

I have two rooted clones now in their first week of flower as well. I will take pictures of them once I can borrow a camera. For now i can only use my camera phone.

All plants will have a feeding tomorrow and hopefully I will have some more pictures to put up.

Currently, I am planning my next grow. I have lots of the "bonsai" seeds, three more of the unknown indica seeds, and three grapefruit seeds. I plan on germinating 8 - 10 seeds next week, just not sure which ones yet. <--- Suggestions?

All plants are looking excellent and are budding nicely.

I transplanted the yogurt cup indica into a Wendy's cup yesterday. To me the plant just did not look to healthy, (droopy and curling leafs, not due to over water) but now looks great.

The Bonsai is starting to pack in the bud. I fed it for the last time tonight, (15-30-15) and hopefully it will be done in a few weeks...

The Afghan Kush is producing more pistils and getting more dense. It had its last feeding last wednesday.

I gave my two clones away to a friend before my closet gets to busy again... I have eight sprouts currently growing and one seed sprouting.

Small update...

I will be cropping my afghan kush in 5 days or less. She had her last watering last night, and as soon as she's dry enough, she's getting cut.

In about a weeks time, I will most likely crop the sativa bag seed I too.

I have 5 healthy sprouts:

1x- The Church
1x- a Grape strain
3X- bag seed (2 "Bonsai" sativas and 1 "yogurt" indica.)

Once I have room in my cab, their all going in!

thanks man!

The wendy's cups are about 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide at the top, and 3 at the bottom. There is a bit of a lip at the bottom.

Here is a pic of the plant about 5 - 7 days before I tied it down.

Picture her taller and without those two fan leaves. I just tied the top of the plant straight down to begin with. As the branches from the main stem grew, I pinched off the leaves that were closest to the main stem, causing the branches to stretch. When the branches were long enough, I tied them down exactly opposite of each other. I was also tying the main stem that I pulled directly down, around the cup.
