Time estimates? Ready to flush?

So heres my one plant. 7 - 8th week of flower. Bagseed Sativa Dom. I know they take god awful long sometimes. I would like to flush. Based my grow around harvest April 1st. Wont rush if not ready... What do ya'll think? Roughly at 25% cloudy trics, and 5% amber - maybe less. I want as heady of a high as i can get. And I am going to flush for at least a week. So where they sit now, in a week or two. Ready for harvest? Opinions? All CFL DWC grow.

You don't have a deficiency, why are you flushing? That's the only logical reason to flush. It doesn't make bud taste any different. If you're flushing for that, be more concerned with a proper dry/cure. That will make far more of an impact than something silly like flushing.
 
I don't worry too much about flushing either. I think you are close or even done. If you want to flush for a week I don't see any harm in it but I'd probably start now based on what I could make out in the pics.
 
Oh ok!! I was always under the impression that flushing will help the nutes run its course through the plant to make the smoke better after curing. So i'm not smoking nutes per se. If that's the case then I wont need to flush at all.... Ill let her ride out my scheduled grow and Ill make the chopping judgement next week!!

And there are no deficiencies. Which is surprising because her sister is an indica dom bagseed and she needs cal mag on the reg. They have the same nute regime. Also, the clone i have growing from above plant needs cal mag too!! But not this one. Weird.
 
Hi it's personnel preference whether to flush or not me i all ways flush and think it's a must but that's me go with what works for you.

There are two types of flushing.

Flushing because of overfeeding and you're getting lockout...flush with 1/4 strength ph'D nute solution at the rate of 3x 1/4 strength nute solution as grow medium ie; 1 gallon of growing medium gets 3 gallons of 1/4 strength ph'd nute solution.

The second is the harvest flush whuch is not the same as above but rather cutting all nutes out of the equation for the final week or two and allowing the plants to use up any nutrients it has stored in the rootzone and foliage.

I am yet to be convinced that a final flush is beneficial at all. All your doing is starving the plant.

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem trying to figure out when to chop. Its 54th day of flower or almost end of week 8. Bag seed from friend under a 1000w HPS. Any ideas?

So apparently the concensus is saying the final harvest flush is not needed? Or at the least just a preference.... I can dig this. I probably wont flush if that's the case.

Like I said I am not convinced. do you starve orange trees the last couple of weeks before harvest? what about potatoes? Also this has been debated more than a 1000 times here and it is pointless. People will do what they want to do regardless of what others have to say.
And besides that plants when they almost done will stop taking nutes by themselves and feed of the sugars in the leaves hence a browning plant the last couple of weeks, so flushing or not it won't make any difference whatsoever.

I agree with others on here about flushing. Flushing is for toilets. If you'll spend some time on the Advanced page, most experienced growers agree that nutes left over in your soil won't have any affect on your final product. Proper harvest time, dry time, and cure, those are what will affect your MJ in the end. Some growers will nute all the way until they cut.

I think your plant is ready for chop, chop. You can wait, but degraded THC can affect your MJ negatively. Don't forget, your Trics change color during the drying process. Also, I have pretty much stopped using my high power scope to look at Tric color. Look at your overall plant, at the obvious signals that she is done; change in leaf color, buds are done swelling, water consumption has dropped, and 70-80% of pistils have changed to orange, receding into the buds.

Your buds also look pretty small, at least from what I see in the pictures you posted. Next round, work on better lights, as light deprivation leads to minimal bud development.

Whatever you say bub.I've tried flushing and nit flushing.The flushed crops always burn better to a nice white/grey ash,no black at all,and they taste better.

Fuck I never flush and the ash from my flowers are as white as bleached paper. nice try.
But like I said this is pointless unless you want to start another thread instead of hijacking this OP's And we'll debate it a little more? I do love a good debate.

Thank you!!! Yes buds are on the smaller side... theres only 200 true watts of CFL's on the entire plant. Knew this going into it that its not favorable. And going by your recommendations there is about 70% of orange pistils. Although there isnt much discoloration in my leaves yet. Is that something i should wait until I see? Or is that strain specific? This is a DWC btw.

I also havent noticed bud "growth" recently so they may have halted the swelling...
