Hi,

My plants are MG Deficient and I went out on a hunt to find some epsom salts, unfortunately I couldn't find any. Can I take a time release fertilizer and mix it with water, let it sit for a while, drain it and then water my plants with it? I have no idea how much to use and I don't want to kill my plants. Ideas?

The contents read 15:10:12 +2MgO +micro elements and it says I should use 6 grams of this per 1 litre of soil and it should be active for 6 months.

Lol no you cant do that my friend. Epsom salt is as common as milk in stores. You can pick it up at almost any grocery store or walmart. Look harder before burning your plants

Thanks for the reply. Epsom Salt is not common where I live, they sell it in pharmacies here and all the pharmacies I visited didn't have it. A nice lady behind the counter checked some database and told me where I can buy some, I will go buy it today.

many antiacids also have MG as well as magnesium citrate is sold in liquid form for constipation but likely has stuff not so good for plants as well

you could also try a MG suplment ment for human consumption
